Timeline of events in Pokémon the Series: Black & White

In Pokémon the Series: Black & White, Ash Ketchum travels to the distant Unova region with his partner Pikachu to continue his quest to become a Pokémon Master. In this new land, he meets new friends in Iris, an aspiring Dragon Master, and Cilan, a Pokémon Connoisseur and Gym Leader. Together, they travel through the region as Ash aims to collect eight Gym Badges to compete in the Unova League and Iris keeps working towards her goal of becoming a Dragon Master. Along the way, they face challenges from rivals like Trip and threats posed by the evil machinations of the villainous organizations Team Rocket and Team Plasma.

Following their adventures in Unova, the group departs from the region and sets out to sail through the Decolore Islands on their way to the Kanto region.

Unova

In The Shadow of Zekrom!	Ash is revealed to have changed into a new outfit. Ash and Pikachu travel with Delia and Professor Oak to the Unova region, where Professor Oak is attending a conference. Ash learns that all of the Pokémon that live in the Unova region cannot be found in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh. Team Rocket also arrive in the Unova region, having being assigned there by Giovanni. Pikachu becomes temporarily unable to use Electric-type attacks after being hit by lightning caused by Zekrom. Ash meets Professor Juniper and travels to her laboratory in Nuvema Town. Ash meets a photographer and beginning Trainer by the name of Trip. Trip obtains a Snivy from Professor Juniper as his first partner Pokémon. Professor Juniper's Oshawott starts to follow Ash. Ash has his first battle against Trip and loses.
Enter Iris and Axew!	Zekrom appears again, and Pikachu recovers his Electric powers. Ash decides to remain in Unova and challenge its Pokémon League. Ash leaves his Sinnoh Pokémon under Professor Oak's care. Ash receives a new Pokédex and five Poké Balls from Professor Juniper. Ash learns the first Unova League Gym is in Striaton City. Ash meets a mysterious girl named Iris and her Axew. Iris decides to follow Ash on his journey. Jessie and James are revealed to have left all of their Pokémon at Team Rocket's Headquarters. Ash tries and fails to catch a Deerling. Ash catches a Pidove. Jessie catches a Woobat. Iris encounters Team Rocket for the first time. Professor Juniper's Oshawott is revealed to know Water Gun.
A Sandile Gusher of Change!	The Oshawott from Professor Juniper's laboratory that has been following Ash joins his team. A wild Sandile begins following Ash.
The Battle Club and Tepig's Choice!	Ash and Iris arrive in Accumula Town. Ash visits a Battle Club and meets a Don George for the first time. Ash finds a Tepig that had been abandoned by his Trainer and catches him. The Team Rocket trio receives a mission by Giovanni to head to Striaton City.
Triple Leaders, Team Threats!	Ash and Iris arrive in Striaton City and meet Cilan, a Pokémon Connoisseur and one of the local Gym Leaders, as well as his brothers and fellow Striaton Gym Leaders, Chili and Cress. Rather than challenging just one of the Striaton Gym Leaders, Ash chooses to challenge each of the three Leaders to a Gym battle, with best two out of three counting as a victory. Ash's Tepig and Oshawott are both revealed to know Tackle. The Team Rocket trio receives a mission from Giovanni to capture the "Future Energy" in the Dreamyard. Ash defeats Chili, loses to Cress, and starts his battle with Cilan.
Dreams by the Yard Full!	Ash's Oshawott is revealed to know Razor Shell. Ash defeats Cilan, ending his Striaton Gym challenge with two victories out of three and thus earning him his first Unova League Badge, the Trio Badge. Ash, Iris, and Cilan meet Fennel for the first time. Jessie, James, and Meowth successfully complete their mission of obtaining and transmitting data from the Dreamyard. Cilan meets Team Rocket for the first time. Ash, Iris, and Cilan agree to travel together through Unova. Ash learns that the next Unova Gym is in Nacrene City, and decides to head there.
Snivy Plays Hard to Catch!	Giovanni informs Team Rocket of the presence of another villainous team. Jessie tries and fails to catch a Snivy. Ash catches the Snivy that Jessie failed to catch.
Saving Darmanitan From the Bell!	The Team Rocket trio receives a mysterious item, and are instructed to head to Nacrene City.
The Bloom Is on Axew!	Iris's Axew is revealed to know Scratch and Dragon Rage. The Team Rocket trio is told to head to the Desert Resort. Ash and Cilan learn from Iris how she got her Axew. Iris is revealed to own an Excadrill.
A Rival Battle for Club Champ!	Trip is revealed to have won the Trio Badge from Chili, as well as another Badge. It is revealed that, like Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny, there is a Don George that runs a Battle Club in multiple cities across the Unova region. Ash re-encounters Trip, whom Iris meets for the first time, while Cilan reveals that he has met him before. Trip is revealed to have obtained five new Pokémon, including a Tranquill and a Frillish. The Team Rocket trio meets Pierce, another member of Team Rocket, for the first time. Trip's Snivy is revealed to have evolved into a Servine. Ash's Snivy is revealed to know Leaf Blade. Ash battles Trip for the second time and loses again.
A Home for Dwebble!	Cilan's Pansage is revealed to know Dig. The Team Rocket trio receives and complete a mission to steal data concerning the Meteonite from the Antimony Research Lab. Cilan catches a Dwebble.
Here Comes the Trubbish Squad!	The Sunglasses Sandile is revealed to know Stone Edge. The Team Rocket trio receives a dummy Meteonite from a Team Rocket agent. Ash receives a Pokémon Egg from Karena.
Minccino-Neat and Tidy!	Ash and his friends meet Bianca, a beginning Trainer. Ash receives a new Badge case from Bianca, given to her by Professor Juniper. The Team Rocket trio arrives in Nacrene City. Bianca catches a Minccino. Ash battles Bianca and wins.
A Night in the Nacrene City Museum!	Ash and his friends arrive in Nacrene City and meet Lenora, the local Gym Leader. The Team Rocket trio meets Pierce again, and are instructed to break into the Nacrene Museum to steal a meteorite and replace it with the fake that was previously given to them.
The Battle According to Lenora!	Ash battles Lenora in his second Unova Gym match and loses. The Team Rocket trio steals the Meteonite from Nacrene Museum.
Rematch at the Nacrene Gym!	Ash's Oshawott learns Aqua Jet, although it is not perfected. Ash's Tepig learns Flame Charge. Ash has a rematch with Lenora and manages to defeat her, earning the Basic Badge. Ash learns that the next Unova Gym is located in Castelia City, and decides to head there.
Scraggy-Hatched to be Wild!	Ash's Egg hatches into a Scraggy. The Team Rocket trio delivers the Meteonite they stole from Nacrene Museum to Dr. Zager for analysis. Ash and Iris battle each other for the first time using Scraggy and Axew, respectively; the battle ends in a draw.
Sewaddle and Burgh in Pinwheel Forest!	Ash and his friends reach Pinwheel Forest and meet Burgh, the Castelia City Gym Leader. Ash catches a Sewaddle. Ash sends an unknown Pokémon in his party to Professor Juniper and adds Sewaddle to his team.
A Connoisseur's Revenge!	Cilan is revealed to be an A-class Pokémon Connoisseur. Ash and his friends meet a C-class Connaisseuse named Burgundy, an old challenger of Cilan's. Ash's Sewaddle is revealed to have Swarm as his Ability. Cilan's Dwebble is revealed to have Sturdy as its Ability. Cilan has a rematch against his new rival Burgundy and wins.
Dancing With the Ducklett Trio!	Ash's Pikachu learns Electro Ball. The Sunglasses Sandile evolves into a Krokorok.
The Lost World of Gothitelle!	Ash returns Pidove to his team and sends Sewaddle to Professor Juniper. Ash and his friends cross the Skyarrow Bridge en route to Castelia City.
A Venipede Stampede!	Team Rocket locates the Meteonite in the Desert Resort. Ash and his friends arrive in Castelia City and meet up with Burgh again. Ash encounters Trip again. Trip is revealed to have obtained a Lampent. Ash's Pidove evolves into a Tranquill. Giovanni heads to Unova as Team Rocket's plan for the Meteonite enters its final stages. Ash, Iris and Cilan meet up with Professor Juniper and leave to investigate the unusual activity caused by Team Rocket in the Desert Resort*.
Battling For The Love of Bug-Types!	Ash's Sewaddle evolves into Swadloon and learns Energy Ball. Ash battles Burgh in his third Unova Gym match and wins, earning him the Insect Badge. Team Rocket changes back to their white uniforms. James catches a Yamask.
Emolga the Irresistible!	Bianca is revealed to have joined the group. Bianca tries to catch an Emolga, but fails. Iris catches the Emolga that Bianca failed to catch.
Emolga and the New Volt Switch!	Bianca battles both Iris and Ash with no official winner. Iris's Emolga begins to disobey her. Iris's Emolga develops a rivalry with Ash's Snivy. Bianca leaves the group.
Scare at the Litwick Mansion!	James's Yamask is revealed to know Shadow Ball.
The Dragon Master's Path!	Iris reveals that her goal is to become a Dragon Master. James's Yamask is revealed to know Night Shade. Iris's Axew masters Dragon Rage.
Oshawott's Lost Scalchop!	Ash and his friends meet a Trainer named Stephan.
Ash and Trip's Third Battle!	Ash and Iris meet up with Trip again. Trip is revealed to have obtained a Vanillite and a Timburr and won two more Badges. Trip tries to catch a Palpitoad, but fails when Ash accidentally interrupts the encounter. Ash learns about Alder, the Unova League Champion. Ash learns that Oshawott cannot aim on target when using Aqua Jet due to a fear of opening his eyes underwater. Ash challenges Trip to a three-on-three battle, which ends in a tie.
Facing Fear with Eyes Wide Open!	Ash's Oshawott overcomes his fear of opening his eyes underwater and perfects Aqua Jet as a result. Ash catches a Palpitoad. Cilan catches a Stunfisk.
Iris and Excadrill Against the Dragon Buster!	The group meets a Trainer named Georgia, who begins a rivalry with Iris. Iris is revealed to have caught her Excadrill as a Drilbur. Iris is revealed to have battled Drayden and lost. Iris's Excadrill is revealed to know or have known Metal Claw, Mud-Slap, and Fury Swipes. Excadrill regains his trust in Iris and also learns Focus Blast.
Gotta Catch A Roggenrola!	Ash catches a Roggenrola.
Archeops In The Modern World!	Ash and his friends meet Professor Juniper and Fennel again. Team Rocket steals data about Fennel's Fossil restoration machine.
A Fishing Connoisseur in a Fishy Competition!	Ash and his friends encounter Bianca again. Cilan catches a Blue-Striped Basculin. However, it is later released. Bianca encounters Team Rocket for the first time. James's Yamask is revealed to know Haze.
Movie Time! Zorua in "The Legend of the Pokémon Knight"!	Ash and his friends meet Luke. The group learns about an upcoming battle tournament that is being held at the local Battle Club.
Reunion Battles In Nimbasa!	The Team Rocket trio arrives in Nimbasa City. Ash and his friends enter the Club Battle, along with Luke, Bianca, Burgundy, Georgia, Stephan, and Trip. Stephan's Blitzle is revealed to have evolved into a Zebstrika. Georgia defeats Sylvester and advances to the second round. Burgundy is revealed to have obtained a Stoutland. Ash defeats Burgundy and advances to the second round. Cilan and Trip prepare to start their first round battle.
Cilan Versus Trip, Ash Versus Georgia!	Trip's Timburr is revealed to have evolved into a Gurdurr. Cilan's Dwebble is revealed to have learned Rock Slide. Cilan, Stephan, Luke, and Iris defeat Trip, Bianca, Scooter, and Jimmy Ray, respectively, advancing them to the second round. Georgia is revealed to have obtained a Pawniard. Ash begins his battle with Georgia.
The Club Battle Hearts of Fury: Emolga Versus Sawk!	Ash defeats Georgia and advances to the semifinals of the Club Battle. Cilan's Stunfisk is revealed to know Scald. Luke defeats Cilan and advances to the semifinals. Stephan is revealed to own a Sawk, while Luke is revealed to own a Larvesta. Iris's Emolga is revealed to have Static as her Ability. Emolga begins to obey Iris. Iris defeats Stephan and advances to the semifinals. Iris learns she will battle Luke in the semifinals. Ash begins his battle with Dino.
The Club Battle Finale: A Heroes Outcome!	Ash defeats Dino and advances to the final round. Iris's Axew learns Outrage. Iris defeats Luke and advances to the final round. The Team Rocket trio prepares to begin their latest plan. Iris defeats Ash and wins the Club Battle, earning a set of wings as a reward. Luke leaves the group.
Meowth's Scrafty Tactics!	Meowth begins to travel with Ash and his friends, claiming to have been fired from Team Rocket. Ash's Scraggy learns High Jump Kick. Iris attempts to capture Meowth, but is unsuccessful. Jessie and James arrive in Anville Town and begin their plans to sabotage the Nimbasa Subway system.
Purrloin: Sweet or Sneaky?	Iris tries to catch a Purrloin, not knowing it was already owned, but Meowth blocks the Poké Ball, almost resulting in him getting caught by her again. Dr. Zager arrives in Anville Town.
Beheeyem, Duosion, and the Dream Thief!	The heads of the Nimbasa Subway system, Ingo and Emmet, notice Jessie and James's sabotage of the system and begin investigating.
Crisis from the Underground Up!	Ash and his friends arrive in Nimbasa City. Ash and Iris meet Ingo and Emmet for the first time, while it is revealed that Cilan has met them previously. Meowth is revealed to have been lying about being fired from Team Rocket and that his joining the group was just part of a plan to steal their Pokémon. Meowth rejoins Jessie and James. Team Rocket successfully steal all the Pokémon from the Nimbasa City Pokémon Center (including those belonging to Ash, Iris, and Cilan) and make a getaway using the Nimbasa Subway Network.
Battle for the Underground!	Ash's Tepig learns Flamethrower. Ash and his friends, with the help of Ingo and Emmet, retrieve all of the Pokémon stolen by Team Rocket, including their own, and force them to withdraw from Nimbasa City.
Enter Elesa, Electrifying Gym Leader!	Ash and his friends meet Bianca again and also meet Elesa, Nimbasa Gym's Gym Leader. Bianca's father appears to take his daughter home with him, not wanting her to continue her Pokémon journey. Bianca is revealed to have obtained a Shelmet. Bianca has a Gym battle with Elesa but loses. Ash has a battle with Bianca's father and loses. Bianca's father decides to allow her to keep traveling.
Dazzling the Nimbasa Gym!	Ash has a Gym battle with Elesa and wins, earning himself the Bolt Badge. Ash learns from Elesa that the next Gym is in Driftveil City, but has to wait to travel there because the Driftveil Drawbridge is closed for repairs.
Lost at the Stamp Rally!	Ash and Cilan challenge the Subway Bosses Ingo and Emmet to a Tag Battle, but they lose. The Driftveil Drawbridge is repaired, allowing the group to leave Nimbasa City and head toward Driftveil City.
Ash Versus the Champion!	Ash and his friends meet up with Trip again. Trip is revealed to have obtained his fifth Gym Badge. Ash and his friends meet the Unova League Champion, Alder. Alder challenges Ash to a battle, but then falls asleep during said battle, thus resulting in no official winner.
A Maractus Musical!	Ash learns about Triple Battles and has his first official battle of this type.
The Lonely Deino!	Ash and Iris both attempt to catch a Deino, but they fail since they already have Trainers. The Team Rocket trio prepares to begin their plan to capture the forces of nature.
The Mighty Accelguard to the Rescue!	Ash and his friends arrive in Driftveil City and meet Clay, the local Gym Leader. Ash tries to challenge Clay to a Gym battle, but Clay refuses. Team Rocket destroys the shrine of Tornadus.
A Call for Brotherly Love!	Chili meets up with Cilan in Driftveil City. Cilan's Pansage is revealed to know Rock Tomb. Cilan and Pansage battle Chili and Pansear and win. Team Rocket prepares for the final stage of their plan to capture the forces of nature by destroying the shrine of Thundurus. Chili and Pansear battle Ash and Oshawott and win.
Stopping the Rage of Legends! Part 1	Ash challenges Clay to a Gym battle for a second time, but Clay refuses again. Tornadus and Thundurus go on a rampage while the group summons Landorus to stop the destruction.
Stopping the Rage of Legends! Part 2	The Team Rocket trio captures the forces of nature, but their plans are foiled and they are forced to release them thanks to Ash and his friends. Landorus stops the rampage of Thundurus and Tornadus, and all three Pokémon return to rest.
Battling the King of Mines!	Ash's Roggenrola evolves into Boldore and learns Rock Blast and Rock Smash. Ash battles Clay in his fifth Unova Gym match and wins, earning himself the Quake Badge. Ash learns that the next Gym is located in Mistralton City and decides to head there.
Crisis at Chargestone Cave!	Ash and his friends meet up with Bianca and Professor Juniper again. Bianca reveals her intention to trade her Shelmet with Professor Juniper's Karrablast in order to evolve both of them. Cilan's Dwebble evolves into Crustle and learns Rock Wrecker. The Team Rocket trio steals rocks from Chargestone Cave.
Evolution Exchange Excitement!	Bianca trades her Shelmet for Professor Juniper's Karrablast. Bianca's new Karrablast evolves into Escavalier, while Juniper's new Shelmet evolves into Accelgor. Cilan and Ash battle against Professor Juniper and Bianca in a Tag Battle and win. Bianca leaves the group. Ash and his friends meet Cedric Juniper, Professor Juniper's father, for the first time.
Explorers of the Hero's Ruins	Ash and his friends are properly introduced to Cedric Juniper. The Sunglasses Krokorok returns to confront Pikachu.
Battling the Bully!	The Sunglasses Krokorok is revealed to know Crunch. Ash catches the Sunglasses Krokorok.
Cilan Takes Flight!	Ash and his friends arrive in Mistralton City and meet Skyla, the local Gym Leader. Outraged by Skyla's unconventional battling method, Cilan battles Skyla but loses.
An Amazing Aerial Battle!	Ash's Tranquill is revealed to know Wing Attack. Ash's Tranquill evolves into Unfezant and learns Aerial Ace. Ash battles Skyla in his sixth Unova Gym match and wins, earning himself the Jet Badge. Ash learns that the next Unova Gym is in Icirrus City and decides to head there.
Climbing the Tower of Success!	Ash and his friends meet up with Stephan again and they all enter the Wishing Bell Festival contest, with Stephan eventually winning. Stephan tells the group about the Clubsplosion tournament in Ambiga Town, which they decide to enter.
The Clubsplosion Begins!	Ash, his friends, and Stephan arrive in Ambiga Town and reunite with Bianca, Burgundy, Georgia, and Trip, all entering the Clubsplosion. Trip and Bianca meet each other for the first time. Trip's Gurdurr is revealed to have evolved into Conkeldurr. Stephan and Cilan defeat Edmund and Flora, respectively, advancing to the second round. Ash's Scraggy learns Focus Blast, although it is not perfected. Ash defeats Angus and advances to the second round. Iris and Burgundy begin their battle.
Search for the Clubultimate!	Iris defeats Burgundy and advances to the second round. Georgia's Pawniard is revealed to have evolved into Bisharp. Georgia and Montgomery defeat Gail and Delbert, respectively, and advance to the second round. Bianca's Pignite is revealed to have evolved into Emboar. Bianca and Trip begin their battle.
A Clubsplosion of Excitement!	Bianca defeats Trip and advances to the second round. Ash, Montgomery, Stephan, and Bianca defeat Betty, Iris, Cilan, and Georgia, respectively, advancing them to the semifinals. Ash learns that he will face off against Montgomery in the semifinals, while Bianca will face Stephan.
Commanding the Clubsplosion Crown!	Stephan defeats Bianca and advances to the final round. Montgomery defeats Ash and advances to the final round. Stephan defeats Montgomery in the final round, winning the Clubsplosion tournament and a year's supply of Vitamins. Stephan leaves the group.
Battling the Leaf Thieves!	Ash's Swadloon evolves into Leavanny.
A Restoration Confrontation! Part 1	The Team Rocket trio returns to try to open a time gate in Twist Mountain. The Team Rocket trio's thefts of Fossil restoration data and Chargestone Cave rocks are explained. Ash meets Dr. Zager for the first time.
A Restoration Confrontation! Part 2	James's Yamask is revealed to know Will-O-Wisp. Ash and his friends stop Team Rocket's attempts to travel through the time gate in Twist Mountain, forcing them to retreat.
Evolution by Fire!	Ash and his friends meet Tepig's former Trainer, Shamus. Ash's Tepig evolves into Pignite and learns Fire Pledge. Shamus offers Pignite a spot on his team, but Pignite rejects him.
Guarding the Guardian of the Mountain!	Ash and his friends meet Brycen, the Gym Leader of Icirrus City.
Caution: Icy Battle Conditions!	Ash and his friends arrive in Icirrus City. Ash battles Brycen and wins, earning the Freeze Badge. Ash learns that the next Gym is located in Opelucid City and decides to head there.
Clash of the Connoisseurs!	Ash learns that the Gym in Opelucid City is closed. The group meets with Burgundy again. Ash learns that there is a Gym located in Virbank City and decides to go there.
Crisis at Ferroseed Research!	Ash and his friends meet up with Georgia again. Georgia is revealed to own a Vanilluxe.
An Epic Defense Force!	Ash and his friends arrive in Virbank City and meet up with Luke again. The Team Rocket trio prepares to begin their latest operation. A wild Meloetta starts to follow Ash. Ash meets Meloetta for the first time.
Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 1	Ash and his friends meet Roxie, the Virbank Gym Leader. Ash begins his battle with Roxie.
Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 2	Ash continues his Gym battle with Roxie and wins, earning himself the Toxic Badge and thus completing his requirement for the Unova League.
All for the Love of Meloetta!	Ash learns that Unova's League Conference will be held in three months. Ash meets up with Cynthia again, while Iris and Cilan meet her for the first time. Cynthia announces the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup in Lacunosa Town, which the group decides to participate. The Team Rocket trio attempts to capture Meloetta, but fail. Iris and Cilan meet Meloetta for the first time. Cynthia is revealed to own a Glaceon. Cynthia agrees to have a battle with Iris, but calls the battle off before a winner is decided. Iris's Axew learns Giga Impact. Ash and his friends accompany Cynthia to her villa in Undella Town. Dawn is revealed to be staying at Cynthia's villa.
Piplup, Pansage, and a Meeting of the Times!	Ash and his friends arrive in Undella Town. Meloetta officially joins the group. Ash reunites with Dawn, with Iris and Cilan meeting her for the first time. Dawn is revealed to have obtained a new Pokédex and a Xtransceiver. Dawn reveals her intention to participate in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup. Ash learns that Dawn's Cyndaquil has evolved into Quilava. Cilan challenges Dawn to a friendly battle, which gets interrupted by Meloetta. Dawn's Piplup is revealed to have learned Drill Peck and Ice Beam.

An exhibition match between Cynthia and Unova Elite Four member Caitlin takes place, ending in a draw. Trip's Servine is revealed to have evolved into Serperior. Burgundy is revealed to have obtained a Darmanitan. Trip defeats Burgundy and advances to the second round. Cilan, Ash, and Dawn defeat their first-round opponents and advance to the next round. Iris's Dragonite starts disobeying her. Iris defeats Georgia and advances to the second round.
Battling Authority Once Again!	Trip defeats Manning and advances to the semifinals. Cilan's Stunfisk is revealed to have learned Sludge Bomb. Cilan and Ash defeat Horatio and Geraldo, respectively, advancing to the semifinals. Dawn's Mamoswine is revealed to have learned Ice Fang. Iris's Dragonite is revealed to know Dragon Rush. Ash defeats Iris and advances to the final round. Trip defeats Ash in the final round, winning the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup. Trip begins his battle with Alder.
Goodbye, Junior Cup - Hello Adventure!	Trip continues his battle with Alder and loses. Ash and his friends meet Cameron, who joins the group. The Team Rocket trio discovers an entrance to the Abyssal Ruins. Dawn's Quilava is revealed to have learned Flamethrower. Dawn leaves the group to head to Johto to compete in the Wallace Cup. Ash, his friends, and Cameron head to Humilau City.
The Road to Humilau!	Ash, his friends, and Cameron arrive in Humilau City and meet Marlon, the Gym Leader of the Humilau Gym. Cameron is revealed to own a Ferrothorn and a Samurott. Cameron battles Marlon and wins, earning the Wave Badge, thus fulfilling his requirements to compete in the Unova League Conference. Cameron leaves the group.
Unrest at the Nursery!	Ash's Scraggy is revealed to have mastered Focus Blast. The Team Rocket trio and Dr. Zager collect the last of the data needed on Meloetta's song and prepare for the next phase of their plan.
Meloetta and the Undersea Temple!	Team Rocket's Operation Tempest enters its final stage. Meloetta is revealed to know Hyper Voice. Ash meets Giovanni for the first time since their unofficial encounter at Mount Quena. Giovanni's Persian is seen battling for the first time. Ash battles Giovanni with his Pikachu, but is defeated. Team Rocket successfully captures Meloetta and takes it, along with the imprisoned Ash and Pikachu, to the Abyssal Ruins. Giovanni uses Meloetta's song to unseal the Reveal Glass.
Unova's Survival Crisis!	Giovanni successfully summons the forces of nature and uses the Reveal Glass to turn them into their Therian Formes. Dragonite begins to fully obey Iris, though his rogue attitude still remains. Meloetta is freed from Team Rocket's control and manages to calm down the Forces of Nature. Giovanni withdraws Team Rocket (including Jessie, James, and Meowth) from Unova and returns to Kanto. Meloetta leaves with Ridley.
Beauties Battling for Pride and Prestige!	Ash and his friends learn that the Unova League will be held in Vertress City and decide to visit the Village of Dragons en route. Ash and his friends leave Cynthia's villa.
A Village Homecoming!	Ash and his friends arrive at Iris's hometown, the Village of Dragons. Ash and Cilan meet the elder and the Opelucid Gym Leader Drayden for the first time. Drayden challenges Iris to a battle at his Gym.
Drayden Versus Iris: Past, Present, and Future!	Ash and his friends arrive in Opelucid City. Iris has a rematch with Drayden and loses again. Iris finds out that Drayden is considering her to take over as the Gym Leader of Opelucid Gym someday.
Team Eevee and the Pokémon Rescue Squad!	Ash and his friends meet Virgil, a Trainer planning to enter the Vertress Conference.
Curtain Up, Unova League!	Ash and his friends arrive in Vertress City, where the Vertress Conference begins. Ash, Trip, Bianca, Cameron, Stephan, and Virgil enter the Vertress Conference, with all of them having earned the eight required Badges. Bianca and Stephan meet Cameron for the first time. Ash decides to use only his current party Pokémon in the tournament instead of using any of his Pokémon at Professor Oak's Laboratory. Stephan defeats Radley in his first round battle, qualifying him for the next round. Bianca, Virgil, and Cameron begin their first round battles against Mikael, Ultimo, and Kendrick, respectively. Ash begins his battle against Trip.
Mission: Defeat Your Rival!	Ash continues his first round match against Trip and wins, advancing to the second round. Ash and Trip make peace with each other. Virgil, Bianca, and Cameron win their battles against Ultimo, Mikael, and Kendrick, respectively, advancing them to the second round. Cameron defeats Bianca, advancing to the third round.

New Places... Familiar Faces!	Ash and his friends return to Nuvema Town and meet up with Professor Juniper again. The Team Rocket trio returns to Unova with their focus back on their original goal: capturing Pikachu and any other Pokémon they can. Jessie and James are revealed to have obtained a Frillish and an Amoonguss, respectively. Ash, Iris, and Cilan decide to explore the White Ruins in the hopes of meeting Reshiram. Ash learns from Professor Juniper that there is a new Gym in Aspertia City and decides to go there en route to the White Ruins.
The Name's N!	Ash and his friends meet N. Jessie's Frillish is revealed to know Shadow Ball.
There's a New Gym Leader in Town!	Ash and his friends arrive in Aspertia City and meet Cheren, the Aspertia Gym Leader. Ash has an unofficial battle with Cheren and loses.
Team Plasma's Pokémon Power Plot!	Ash and his friends visit Floccesy Town. Looker returns, with Iris and Cilan meeting him for the first time. Ash and his friends encounter the villainous Team Plasma, as well as their scientist Colress, for the first time.
The Light of Floccesy Ranch!	Ash and his friends visit the Floccesy Ranch.
Saving Braviary!	Ash and his friends meet up with N again, and he joins the group.

Team Plasma's Pokémon Manipulation!	Ash and his friends encounter Team Plasma and Looker again. Ash and his friends meet N's foster sisters, Anthea and Concordia, for the first time. N is injured during the battle against Team Plasma and is taken to a spring by Anthea and Concordia.
Secrets From Out of the Fog!	Ash and his friends find out that N used to be a member of Team Plasma. N leaves the group. Ash and his friends arrive a short distance away from the Dragonspiral Tower.
Meowth, Colress and Team Rivalry!	Team Rocket attempts to convert Colress to their team, but to no avail. Team Rocket decides to head to the White Ruins.
Ash and N: A Clash of Ideals!	Ash and his friends are escorted to the White Ruins by Cedric Juniper's assistant, who later is revealed to be an undercover Looker. Ash and his friends meet up with Cedric Juniper and N again. Cedric Juniper finds the Light Stone, but it is taken away by N. Team Plasma begins their operation by attacking the White Ruins.
Team Plasma and the Awakening Ceremony!	Team Plasma continues their attack on the White Ruins. N surrenders the Light Stone to Team Plasma in exchange for Colress freeing Ash's Pikachu from his control. Ghetsis arrives and starts the ritual of awakening Reshiram.
What Lies Beyond Truth and Ideals!	Ghetsis summons and takes control of Reshiram. Anthea and Concordia arrive at the White Ruins to aid in the battle against Team Plasma. Team Rocket meets Looker again. Colress's machine is destroyed, freeing all the controlled Pokémon. Looker arrests Ghetsis, Colress, and the other Team Plasma members, thereby bringing down the team. N leaves with Anthea and Concordia.

Best Wishes Until We Meet Again!	Ash, his friends, and Alexa arrive in Kanto. Iris and Cilan decide to head to Johto by train, thus separating from Ash and Alexa, who head on to Pallet Town.
The Dream Continues!	Ash and Alexa arrive in Pallet Town. Ash decides to head to the Kalos region in order to challenge its Pokémon League. Ash leaves all of his Pokémon in rotation, except Pikachu, at Professor Oak's Laboratory. Jessie and James give their Unova Pokémon to Giovanni at the Team Rocket HQ, while Jessie retrieves her Wobbuffet. Ash learns that Alexa's sister is a Gym Leader in Kalos. Ash receives new clothes from his mother. Team Rocket decides to follow Ash to Kalos. Ash and Alexa leave Kanto for the Kalos region.
BWS01	Cilan tries and fails to catch a Gyarados. Cilan meets Brock for the first time, but neither are formally introduced to each other. In the process, Brock is revealed to have traveled to Johto again. Cilan's Pansage is revealed to know Grass Whistle.
BWS02	Iris arrives in Blackthorn City and meets up with Clair again. Iris has a battle with Clair and loses. Iris catches a Gible. Iris sees a Rayquaza and decides to follow it.
