Basic Fairy Energy (Japanese: 基本フェアリーエネルギー Basic Fairy Energy) is a Basic Energy card which provides one Fairy Energy (Fairy). This can be attached to Pokémon cards and used to power moves with Fairy or Colorless Energy requirements.

English

There are 28 English prints of the Basic Fairy Energy. The first is the Unnumbered ©2013 print included within the Sylveon Collection released on November 15, 2013, the English Chespin Deck of the Kalos Starter Set, the Resilient Life and Enchanted Echo Theme Deck, the XY Elite Trainer Box, Furious Fists Elite Trainer Box, Phantom Forces Elite Trainer Box, Battle Arena Decks: Xerneas vs. Yveltal, and in an Energy Pack available as part of the Play! Pokémon Professor merchandise when the Professor Store reopened on September 23, 2014. The second is the print included in the XY expansion. Prints three through fourteen are the twelve prints included in the Sylveon Half Deck of the XY Trainer Kit. The fifteenth print is the Sheen Holofoil Unnumbered ©2013 print included within Battle Arena Decks: Xerneas vs. Yveltal. The next eleven prints are the ones included in the XY Trainer Kit: Bisharp & Wigglytuff. The final two prints are from the Generations and Evolutions expansions, respectively. The Evolutions print uses a layout similar to Original Series Basic Energy cards.

In the Sword & Shield series, this card was only included in Basic Energy packs in Elite Trainer Boxes. The last product it was included in was the Celebrations Elite Trainer Box.

Japanese

The Basic Fairy Energy was first released in the Chespin Half Decks of both the XY Beginning Set and the XY Beginning Set for Girls. A further print was included in the Xerneas & Yveltal Card Box. A special Unnumbered XY-P Promotional print was released as one of nine possible stamped Basic Energies included within the Lawson Limited Pokémon Coin Set, a product exclusive to Lawson stores released December 13, 2013. January 2014 saw the release of Fairy Energy within the Xerneas Half Deck featuring the Half Deck's Set Symbol. Fairy Energy was reprinted as a Full Art Secret card in the Burning Shadows expansion, first released in the Japanese Darkness that Consumes Light expansion. It was included in the Japanese Tag All Stars subset as another Secret card.

Trivia

  • Due to this card first being released after Basic Energy cards stopped listing illustrator credits in the Expedition Base Set, no print of this card has an illustrator listed.
  • This is the only Basic Energy card to have ever been rotated out of play, following the retirement of the Fairy type in the TCG.[1]
