Background[]
Master of the Mountain[]
Vania is the daughter of King Vangelis of Shintaro, and grew up with a pet Shintaran Ridgeback dragon named Chompy. As a child, she was present when the adventurers Fungus, Korgran, and Plundar had an audience with her father, who sent them to find the Skull of Hazza D'ur. In Shintaro, the Ninja receive an invitation to her birthday celebrations.
In Into the Dark, Vania greets the Ninja and Wu upon their arrival, and reveals that she asked her father to invite them. Vania proves to be an avid fan of their exploits, and soon befriends Cole. Lloyd, however, is still smarting from his encounters with Harumi, and thus distrusts this new princess.
Seabound[]
In Master of the Sea, Cole returns to Shintaro and asks Vania to safeguard the Storm Amulet. Vania quickly agrees, ordering Hailmar to secure it in a vault with a doubled guard. Unfortunately, none of the trio realize that the artifact is a fake, the real one having been stolen by Kalmaar. In The Turn of the Tide, Vania and several other residents of Shintaro join the crowd at the Monastery of Spinjitzu who join in honor of Nya's recent sacrifice in the battle to stop Wojira.
Crystalized[]
In "Distress Calls", Cole sends a message to Vania asking her to bring the Shintaro Army to Ninjago City to help battle against the Vengestone Army. He reminds her that she had previously promised to do this, and notes that the enemies they face include her father, Vangelis. In "Dragon Form", Vania arrives with her army-including Chompy and the Upply-and joins in battle against the Vengestone Army. Their arrival and that of various other allies allows the Ninja to unlock their Dragon Forms, and after doing so Cole gratefully embraces Vania.
In "Roots", Vania witnesses the end of the battle with the Overlord. She later joins in the efforts to rebuild the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
