- The helicopter is modeled after the real-life Chinook helicopter.
- The pilots have new flight vest pieces, which closely resemble Kevlar vests, but are also sometimes used as a life preserver piece.
- In the LEGO Catalogues, LEGO City website and some shops, the set is called a "Heavy-Lift Helicopter".
- This is the only 2012 City Police set that doesn't include a crook.
- It is included in 66427 City Police Super Pack 4 in 1.
