Join the Star Guardians as they fight for the future by saving a ghost from their past!

Chapter 1

One year after Zoe's Zoe's attack on Valoran City, Xayah Xayah, now back on Earth with her new team, consisting of Senna Senna, Seraphine Seraphine, and Orianna Orianna, is reminiscing old times with her familiar, Saki, over a bowl of ramen when she is interrupted by a chaos monster. She makes short work of it before heading off to rendezvous with the rest of her team.

Meanwhile, down the street, Seraphine, Orianna, and Senna are waiting for Xayah to arrive when they catch a glimpse of her battle with the chaos monster. They are left feeling concerned for their captain when they notice her using remnants of her corrupted powers, though she reassures them that she's fine and that she can handle it. Their conversation is then cut short when a portal of chaos opens up down in a nearby alleyway and unleashes a group of chaos creatures on them. The four Star Guardians engage the chaos creatures in battle and defeat them.

One week later, Xayah and her team are busy training, but Seraphine complains about wasting the day doing training, though after Orianna informs the team that her familiar, Tocker, has located Rakan's Rakan's energy signature in the city, she immediately backtracks her complaint. She then gets into a quarrel with Senna over their busy schedules and wanting to take a break, but Xayah quickly diffuses the argument before Orianna triangulates Rakan's location to Arcade World. With this information, the team head for Arcade World to confront Rakan.

Unfortunately, when they arrive at the now-vacated Arcade World, they don't find Rakan there and, instead, are met by some chaos monsters, which they quickly eliminate. Everyone is left confused by Rakan's sudden disappearance, but with nothing better to do, Xayah decides to resume their training session. However, with Seraphine and Senna busy playing VALORANT and Orianna wanting to learn more about the pinball machine, she is out-voted and reluctantly reschedules their training session to a later time.

Later that night, after leaving Arcade World, Xayah and her team are departing from the scene of their latest battle. While Orianna comforts Seraphine with tips on how to better operate a claw machine, Senna and Xayah talk about their inevitable battle with Rakan. While Senna is sure that she and the others can help Xayah bring Rakan back to the light, Xayah isn't so sure and tells her of the challenge Rakan is going to pose for them. Suddenly, Rakan appears, prompting Xayah and her team to ready themselves, and after some back-and-forth with the corrupted guardian, they begin their long-awaited duel.

However, after a brief skirmish, Rakan flees to formulate his evil plan, leaving Xayah and her team frustrated. To make matters worse, Tocker was damaged in the battle, meaning locating Rakan will not be possible until Orianna repairs it. With tensions at an all-time high, Senna and Orianna almost get into an argument when Ahri Ahri and Miss Fortune Miss Fortune arrive and diffuse the tension. Xayah is not too pleased to see them, especially after Ahri tells her that they want to help her, but after her team agrees with Ahri's assessment of the team's lack of sufficient manpower to take on Rakan, she reluctantly allows her old friends to assist her on her mission.

Chapter 2

One week after Ahri and Miss Fortune joined her team on their mission, Xayah and her team talk about skipping class to do some training. However, when Orianna asks her if Ahri and Miss Fortune will join them, Xayah tells her that they won't be because she still doesn't trust them after they left her and Rakan at Zoe's mercy and because they are the reason Rakan is evil. Senna asks why she can't sit down and talk to them about the matter, to which she replies that they betrayed her, but even though she doesn't plan on fixing their friendship any time soon, she's willing to work with them if it means saving Rakan. After a bit of banter, the four Star Guardians leave school for their training session.

Several days later, on the opposite end of Valoran High, Miss Fortune is still frustrated that Xayah is still not answering her texts, despite them being teammates once again. Ahri tells her to give their old friend time and that she'll come around eventually. However, Miss Fortune believes they should at least apologize for what happened in the past, but Ahri vehemently defends her decision back then, despite knowing that she is the reason Xayah and Rakan fell in the first place. Despite the guilt she has over her choice, Ahri tells Miss Fortune that what matters is that they're still alive and that they'll need to be stronger than ever before.

Meanwhile, in his hidden chaos dimension, Rakan tries to come up with an idea for his evil plan but can't. Remembering how Xayah was always in charge of coming up with their plans back when they still served Zoe, Rakan begins to think about her and how he misses her. However, he quickly snaps himself out of his grief and tells himself to stay focused. He then determines that to get Xayah to join him, he'll need to tempt her with the unimaginable power she'll receive if she gives into the chaos, and he compliments himself for coming up with his first evil plan.

Back in Valoran City, Xayah and her team defeat another group of chaos monsters before she informs everyone some good news: Orianna has finished repaired Tocker. However, before she and Orianna can tell them the bad news, Ahri asks who Tocker is, Seraphine gets mad and and nearly gets into an argument with her since neither she nor Miss Fortune have showed up to training to know about the mechanical familiar's situation. Fortunately, Miss Fortune diffuses the argument before Orianna delivers the bad news: Tocker has found Rakan's energy signature. Despite mixed feelings on whether they can take on Rakan, the team of six suit up to confront Rakan.

When they arrive at Rakan's location, however, they are met by a horde of chaos monsters instead of the corrupted Star Guardian. They defeat the horde, but after detecting Rakan's scent nearby, Xayah demands he show himself. Rakan reveals himself and tries to flirt with Xayah, but Xayah ignores him and proclaims that she and her team will defeat him and bring him back. Disappointed, Rakan tries one last attempt to sway Xayah over to his side by pointing about the power rush she feels whenever she uses her remnant dark powers. However, Xayah sees right through his plan, which disappoints him, and everyone prepare themselves for a battle against the corrupted guardian.

One battle later, Rakan is defeated, but he retreats into his dimension before Xayah and her team can save him. To make matters worse, Orianna tells everyone that Rakan's light is slowly dimming, and that if they don't save him soon, they will lose him for good. Seraphine asks how they are supposed to bring Rakan back to the light when they don't have a solution, to which Xayah tells her that they'll just have to figure that out on their own.

Chapter 3

One week after their confrontation with Rakan, Xayah and co. are hanging out at Cafe Cuties. However, Xayah spends most of the time staring into her matcha, distracted by the thought of not being able to save Rakan in time and losing him forever, which worries the rest of the girls. Ahri tries to lighten the atmosphere with some humor, but her joke isn't well received by the rest of Team Xayah. Fortunately, Xayah breaks her silence, and Miss Fortune and Seraphine assures her that they'll find Rakan and get him back. This gives Xayah the drive to pull herself out of her self-doubt and do something about the mission, starting with some training.

One week later, on a Friday night, everyone gathers at Seraphine's place for a "highly anticipated" Star Guardian event, only for it to turn out to be a sleepover study session the bubbly Star Guardian had been planning for weeks. Already, the event is off to a rocky start, since everyone isn't exactly in the mood for studying, and to make matters worse, for Seraphine at least, Tocker has recorded an increase presence of pocket chaos dimensions around the city. Fortunately, the situation seems contained for the time being and the girls resume their activities. Unfortunately, before they can completely settle down, Orianna detects chaos monsters outside and the girls head out to deal with them.

Hours later, Seraphine is about to begin reading another chapter of the book she was reading when Xayah informs her that the others are asleep. With the prospect of Rakan not showing up becoming more likely, Xayah suggests that they go to sleep, but Seraphine tries to convince her otherwise, using their upcoming finals as a metaphor to talk about their impending showdown with Rakan and whether or not they're ready for it. Xayah reassures her that they are and that she has an idea on how they can save Rakan, which Orianna, who was awoken by Seraphine's loud talking alongside Ahri, quickly deduces it involves her harnessing her chaos power to save the corrupted guardian. Xayah and Seraphine are surprised by her sudden awakening and intrusion into their conversation, but they quickly brush their shock away when she informs them that Tocker has located Rakan. With this information, Xayah and co. suit up and head out to confront Rakan.

A short while later, Team Xayah arrives at the city center, which has been rendered unrecognizable by the chaotic makeover Rakan did. As the Star Guardians take in their surroundings, Rakan appears in front of them and taunts Ahri and Miss Fortune before trying once more to sway Xayah to his side. Team Xayah, however, stands firm against him, and as dark magic transports everyone into Rakan's chaos dimension, Rakan swears to bring Xayah to his side, whether she wants to or not, thus beginning the battle.

Despite Team Xayah's best efforts, Rakan still proves to be too strong for them to handle. With their defeat all but imminent, Seraphine tells Xayah that it would be a good time to execute her plan. While Rakan taunts them and gloats about his improv skills, Xayah points out how his improvisation has one major flaw; it can't help him plan ahead for her next attack. Xayah then uses Bladecaller Bladecaller to recall the dozen or so feathers she had scattered around Rakan's dimension during the battle and root Rakan in place before urging her team to retreat. Ahri, however, refuses, not wanting to make the same mistake again, but Xayah reassures her that she'll be fine, but what she has to do next is something only she can do alone. She then shuts everyone out of Rakan's realm before setting her sights on Rakan. Believing that he has won her over, Rakan asks Xayah to free him, which she seemingly obliges. As she begins to harness her chaos power, Xayah suddenly grabs hold of Rakan and blankets him in her dark magic, surprising him. He asks if she is giving him more power, but Xayah tells him that its both her light and dark sides, and that she'll never give up on him before finally, she purifies the remaining chaos power seated in his soul. A blinding light soon engulfs the two lovers, and they soon find themselves transported back to Valoran City.

Upon opening their eyes, Rakan, now redeemed redeemed, asks Xayah what happened. Xayah, who can't contain her excitement any longer, celebrates his return and redemption as the rest of Team Xayah arrive at their location. Ahri, however, remains weary of Rakan, but Orianna puts her mind at ease after informing her of the very low probability of Rakan still attacking them again and pointing out how he seems to be complete and at peace. Rakan agrees with her assessment before Team Xayah departs to let him and Xayah have some alone time.

Several days later, at the Valoran City Winter Festival, Xayah and Rakan observe the others enjoying themselves before Seraphine asks for a group hug. Xayah reluctantly allows her and Ahri, who she has finally reconciled with (somewhat), to hug her before telling Rakan to never speak of this ever. Rakan, however, reassures her that he won't as he prepares to take a picture of the spectacle.

The Star Map[]

AS WR Star Map

You'll be tagging along with the Star Guardians as they face their most recent challenge via the Star Map, which can be access at the bottom of the Star Guardian Event Page.

The Star Map is laid out through a series of nodes, most of which must be completed in order. There are three types of nodes, and each will grant unique insight into the life of a Star Guardian:

Node Description
AS WR Dialogue Node Dialogue Key moments of the story. Witness interactions between characters and follow their progress as the plot unfolds.
AS WR Combat Node Combat A battle against a creature of chaos, who can only be damaged by your familiars' Guardian Power. Any damage you inflict on a chaos monster will remain even if you leave the node. Unlike other nodes, these ones can only be completed one time.
AS WR Comic Node Comic An illustrated deeper look into the story of the Star Guardians. Reading a comic node also rewards some Star Candies.

Picking Your Party[]

Once you've finished the Star Guardian intro and fought through Node 1-3, you'll select a party of three Star Guardians to serve as your active team against the forces of chaos. You will have to choose between Orianna Orianna, Senna Senna, and Serphine Serphine to fill out your party when the event begins, while Xayah Xayah is permanently a part of your team. Battling the Forces of Chaos[]

AS WR Battle

Familiars[]

Each Star Guardian comes with their own familiar, who will charge up for event battles with Guardian Power (GP) whenever you achieve specific in-game conditions. You can level up your familiars to earn even more GP by feeding them AS WR Star Candy Star Candies, which can be earned by playing games or reading comics. You will only charge the Guardian Power of familiars that are in your active party. Since Xayah is always part of your Star Guardian team, you will always be charging Saki's GP.

Every familiar's true potential can only be unlocked by feeding them delicious Star Candies. Star Candies are earned by playing games and reading comics. Each familiar level takes more Star Candies to upgrade than the last. It costs a grand total of 250 Star Candies to reach level 5 on a familiar, doing so unlocks an icon for the familiar. Achieving level 5 on all familiars unlocks a permanent spawn tag.
