Iacobus (Anglice James) Mercer Langston Hughes (Joplin Missuriae, 1 Februarii 1902Novi Eboraci, 22 Maii 1967) fuit poeta, agitator socialis, scriptor mythistoriarum, scriptor scaenicus, et columnista Americanus. Unus ex conditoribus poesis iaz fuit, formae artis litterariae. Uno ex ducibus Renascentiae Harlemensis innotuit. Insigniter de tempore scripsit: "Niger moris erat,"[1] deinde laxius et liberius interpretatus "cum Harlem moris esset."[2][3]
