Kuroshitsuji: Emerald Witch Arc (黒執事 -緑の魔女編-, Kuroshitsuji -Midori no Majo-Hen-) is a Kuroshitsuji series and the upcoming fifth season of the Kuroshitsuji anime. It is set to premiere in April[1][2] 2025.[3][4]
Plot[]
19th-century England―Sebastian Michaelis, butler of the prestigious aristocratic Phantomhive family, and his 13-year-old master Ciel Phantomhive, the Queen's Watchdog, undertake dirty jobs in the underworld.
On the Queen's order, Sebastian and Ciel head to Germany to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. While they search for the truth about the Werewolves' Forest where anyone who sets foot inside it is cursed to death, a horrifying curse falls upon them.[5]
Background[]
The fifth season of the Kuroshitsuji anime was teased on June 22, 2024, in the stinger of Season 4's final episode. It was formally announced on July 6, 2024[3] at a special behind-the-scenes panel at Anime Expo with host CDawgVA and guests Daisuke Ono (Sebastian Michaelis' voice actor), Director Kenjiro Okada, and Producer Yoshito Ito.[6][7]
CloverWorks and Crunchyroll LLC will produce the season which is scheduled to air in 2025. Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto will reprise their respective roles of Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive.[4]
On December 8, 2024, during the "Kuroshitsuji: Public School Arc AFTER the MIDNIGHT TEA PARTY ～A Return to Weston College～" event, the first teaser visual, the first character designs, and the premiere month (April 2025) for the new season were revealed, along with the voice actors for Sieglinde Sullivan and Wolfram Gelzer. They will be voiced by Rie Kugimiya and Chikahiro Kobayashi respectively.[1][2]
