Summary[]

411 In the kitchen

Busy morning in the kitchen.

In the morning, Sebastian, Mey-Rin, Snake, Tanaka, and Baldroy are hard at work in the kitchen making meal preparations. Finnian later joins them after gathering herbs from the garden. When Sebastian notices that Mey-Rin needs to step far back to read the labels on the tea packages and the prominent patch on Finnian's hat, he thinks it is time for replacements.

Sometime later, Sebastian goes to wake up Ciel and brings him his morning tea. While he dresses him afterward, Sebastian tells Ciel that he has to sign a backlog of documents and that the coordinator of his new label at Harrods wants him to come and inspect their display. Ciel decides to go today then. Hearing this, Sebastian requests to purchase new glasses for Mey-Rin and a new hat for Finnian when they are in London. Ciel agrees to take everyone.

411 Soma barges in

Soma barges into the dressing room.

A moment later, Soma bursts into the dressing room, demanding to know why Ciel abandoned him at Weston College without a word. Ciel proposes that he could stay there until he graduates to learn more about British society, but Soma replies that it is boring without him and that the lessons are too easy—a circumstance that surprises Ciel and Sebastian. Agni then joins them and explains that Soma is an excellent student and his court tutor's pride and joy. When Agni greets Ciel and Sebastian and adds that it has been "so long" since he last saw them, Sebastian points out that he did notice him several times at Weston College: Agni was in the bushes by Scarlet Fox's stables and spooked Soma's elephant; this resulted in the destruction of Maurice's room. He was also at the cricket tournament, hiding under the Red House's buffet table. Because he placed a large slice of meat pie on the table, and Soma subsequently requested it, Soma was the only member of the Red Team that did not get diarrhea.

Soma gets mad when he hears that; after all, he ordered Agni not to accompany him to Weston College. While they quarrel, Sebastian finishes dressing Ciel. They then quickly leave and tell Soma and Agni to look after the manor.

When the Phantomhive household (sans Tanaka) arrives in London, Finnian, Snake, Mey-Rin, and Baldroy admire Big Ben, and Ciel wonders when Tower Bridge will finally be completed. Sebastian thinks it will not be done for another few years and notes that humans are remarkably "unhurried" despite their short lifespans. Ciel replies that, unlike demons, humans have to deal with contracts and abutments.

411 Mey-Rin sees too much

Mey-Rin thinks seeing too well is not good either.

They visit an optician first to find new spectacles for Mey-Rin. Finnian, Baldroy, Snake, and Sebastian also try out glasses; Ciel passes, saying that the eyepatch is "enough" for him. After Mey-Rin finds a fitting pair though, she has to note that seeing too well is not "safe" either because she can now see Sebastian clearly.

411 Hat order

Finnian wants a hat as cool as Big Ben.

Their next stop is a hat shop where Finnian requests a straw hat "as cool as Big Ben," but Sebastian stops him and says that a regular one will be fine. In the meantime, Ciel tries out hats of increasing ridiculousness; one by one, the servants come to watch. When Ciel has to put on a bejeweled hairpiece, he has had enough and stops the fitting. He then asks Snake and Baldroy if they want to have something as well.

411 Snake picks a bag

Snake gets a bag to carry his snakes.

Because of that, they then head to a bag store. There, Snake picks a large bag so that he can carry all his snakes with him when they travel. When Wordsworth comes out to explain just that, he spooks both the clerk and Baldroy.

Thereafter, the Phantomhive household goes to a bookstore at Baldroy's request which surprises Ciel as he is unsure whether Baldroy even reads books. His question is answered a moment later when Baldroy arrives and requests not to have a book but a "Sexy Girl" magazine. Appalled, Sebastian covers Ciel's eye and tells Baldroy no. Ciel then browses a bit in the bookstore and finds Arthur's latest work. Although he is annoyed that it is a historical novel and not another detective mystery, he still purchases it.

411 Candy Cigarettes

Baldroy receives a box of candy cigarettes.

After they leave the bookstore, they go into a confectionery because Ciel wants to do "market research." There, Ciel spots a box of candy cigarettes which he gifts Baldroy; Baldroy gratefully accepts them. Ciel wants to go to Harrods next, but Sebastian asks to do one more stop elsewhere: Somerset House. When the Campania sunk a few months earlier, Undertaker lost his chain of mourning lockets, and Ciel caught them. Later on, Sebastian brought them to the Registrar General of Births, Marriages, and Deaths at Somerset House to find out to whom the lockets refer.

411 Cloudia's death certificate

Cloudia's death certificate.

Sebastian picks up the death certificates that go with each locket and hands them to Ciel. He says that he could not find any connection between the seven deceased and that one name caught his attention: Cloudia Phantomhive. Ciel is shocked to learn that one of the lockets is for his grandmother and now wonders what Undertaker's relationship is to the Phantomhives, as Cloudia's locket indicates that Undertaker was involved with them even before Vincent's time.

411 Unsettling unicorn

Funtom's newest mascot.

As all their other errands are now done, Ciel and the others finally visit Funtom Corporation's store at Harrods. A woman advertises the new product, Lily of the Valley Perfume, and hands out samples to everyone, even the men, which bothers Ciel because this is a product of the new "young ladies" line. Sebastian says he will speak to the manager about it. He also remarks that the designers could have put more effort into the new line's mascot, a unicorn with a terrifying aura. Ciel says that he knows that it was a mistake; Elizabeth already thoroughly scolded him for his "not cute" choice.

Sebastian then adds that while he applauds him for turning his attention to ladies' products, he still "missed the mark somewhat" by trying to capture women's hearts with data and product quality alone. Ciel tells him to be quiet and says that he will come up with a better marketing strategy. However, before he can finish his sentence, something catches Sebastian's attention, and he abruptly hurries away.

411 Irene worries

Irene worries that she will be late and be seen with Julius.

Elsewhere, there was a carriage crash. Sebastian swiftly jumps on the upturned coach and rips open the door to reveal Irene and her new boyfriend Julius Pittman inside. Irene is running late to a performance, and because Julius is an actor working for a rival company, she cannot be seen with him. Upon hearing this, Sebastian makes a suggestion.

At the theater, Irene's employees are upset because of her tardiness. Because she is still not there, they considering calling off the play, even if many of the theater's sponsors are present today. Her employees change their minds though when they see Sebastian rushing toward them at a breakneck speed, pulling Irene's carriage behind him.

411 Irene's unicorn entrance

Irene's spectacular unicorn entrance.

Inside, Irene's colleagues keep extending the dancing scene. Right after the one who plays Romeo wishes for Irene to hurry up, she finally appears—by riding on a flying unicorn while samples of the Lily of the Valley Perfume rain upon the audience and onto the stage. The audience is enthralled by Juliet's grand entrance.

411 Sebastian with the perfume

Sebastian managed to double the sales.

Thus, when the performance eventually ends, masses of women hasten to Funtom's shop at Harrods. Ciel and the others are waiting for Sebastian there and are nearly flattened by the incoming, enthusiastic crowd. Sebastian arrives on time though and saves Ciel from being trampled. He explains that he left to do some promotional work for the perfume as he recognized Irene's scream earlier. To preserve his honor as the Phantomhive family's butler, Sebastian used this opportunity to double the sales of the new product: Because he helped Irene out, she did him a little favor in exchange.

Sebastian's quick thinking resulted in the perfume selling out. Ciel subsequently decided to put Irene's image on posters promoting the perfume. He receives Sebastian's praise for this decision as Sebastian is amazed by Ciel's avarice.

411 Werewolf

Two hunters spot a werewolf.

A few months later, in Southern Germany, two noblemen—Briegel and Reinald—are on a hunt. Reinald eventually proposes to enter the Werewolves' Forest, and while Briegel has concerns, they venture into the apparently cursed woods. There, they encounter a strange old woman who urges them to leave, but Reinald and Briegel ignore her words. They continue with their hunt and eventually run into a werewolf.
