Warsman (ウォーズマン) is the protege and friend of Robin Mask, and later the mentor and companion of Kevin Mask. Initially an antagonist, he soon becomes a protagonist and one of the Idol Chojin.
About[]
Warsman is a Robo Chojin. Originally he was a Brutal Chojin, and he even put Ramenman in a comatose state. After the Chojin Olympics, he becomes a Justice Chojin .
As a Robo Chojin, his body is constantly meeting with problems. Due to this poor treatment, despite his popularity, Warsman has gained sympathy from readers and become even more popular well into Kinnikuman Nisei (see Polls 1 and Polls 2).
When he first appears, the only sound that comes from his mouth is a creepy breathing (Ko~Ho~ (コーホー ), similar to that of Darth Vader from Star Wars. In the anime, Warsman's voice has a robotic effect.
Personality[]
Warsman was a kind and sad child, always bullied by the town children, and having to help his sick mother. Over the years, he started to hide his emotions. After he was found by Robin Mask, he regressed further and acts as a simple machine, never showing his emotions during matches, aside for the sadistic smile that appears in his face when he is having a good match. He is mute during this period, only speaking in robotic breathing sounds: "ko-ho". This changes after his defeat by Kinnikuman.
Warsman is a shy and quiet individual, ashamed at first for his robotic face, before becoming a more confident and proud individual. This confidence is seen in his fight with Polarman, were he shows that he does not mind losing his mask. Even after becoming an Idol Chojin, Warsman still uses his brutal methods in combat, been able to do bloody things in name of "justice".
Appearance[]
Canon[]
Without his mask, Warsman has shaggy, shoulder-length blond hair and a mostly robotic face, which has only one human eye on the left. [6] He has dark brown skin and - once his face-plate is attached - he is shown to have white eyes. [7]
He typically has no facial expression, but when he faces a formidable opponent a creepy smile known as the Warsman Smile (ウォーズマンスマイル ) appears on his face.
Anime (1983)[]
In the original anime, he is given red eyes, and as Chloe his eyes are both blue and red (anime and manga respectively). The anime also denotes him with black skin, as opposed to dark brown.
Relationships[]
Robin Mask[]
Robin Mask serves as Warsman's mentor; he rescues him from Russia, before training him to become a chojin wrestler. Robin Mask was a harsh teacher, to the extent of chaining Warsman and beating him, and - even years later - the sight of Robin Mask's alter-ego (Mr Barracuda) can induce fear in him. The two grow to become close friends, often fighting alongside one another, including in the tag-team: Chojin Master/Student Combo.
Kevin Mask[]
It is unknown whether Warsman knew Kevin Mask as a child. Warsman assumed the identity of "Chloe" to act as Kevin Mask's trainer during the Chojin Olympics: The Resurrection Arc, where the two formed a close bond. Chloe was one of the few people that Kevin Mask trusted, with the two almost always together, and their close bond remained even when Chloe was revealed to be Warsman. Warsman has watched over Kevin since then, from a distance; such as saving him from harsh training in the snow during the Demon Seed Arc, and going back in time to fight for Kevin Mask in the Ultimate Chojin Tag Tournament Arc.
Abilities[]
Warsman possesses retractable iron claws called Bear Claws (ベアークロー ). He also possesses excellent artificial intelligence and calmly judges his opponents so as to defeat them within 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, his inner computer begins to shut down and smoke emits from his body.
History[]
Warsman Begins[]
Warsman - then Nikolai Volkov - wore a bag over his head, as a child, in order to hide his robotic features.[8] Due to this, he was treated poorly by other children. The children would throw rocks at him while he was taking bread and milk home. A large rock once struck him enough to draw blood, which frightened the children and caused them to flee. He cries and whispers 'help me'. It is revealed he has a dying mother, whom he helps by administering her medicine. There is no time to call for a doctor, as his mother - Natasha Volkoff - tells him the story of his father: Mikhailman. Despite being a champion, Mikhail told Natasha that he wanted to become stronger, and went for a Czech doctor named Yuri Kopylov (who was searching for a chojin strong enough to endure a remodeling into a mechanical chojin). [8]
Six months later, Mikhail returned with a modified body, but his heart was still the same. After some time, Nikolai is born, and they were a happy family. One day, however, Mikhail acted strange during a match, becoming aggressive to the point of killing his opponent and the referee. When he came back to his senses, he was unable to cope with his actions. He reveals a switch hidden on his abdomen and - after saying goodbye to Natasha and the baby Nikolai - self-destructed. With this, Nikolai learns why he is part machine. Natasha bids farewell, after begging him to remember the warmth of his father's blood courses through him, and finally dies. [8]
He swears never to be ashamed, as he carries his parents' blood.
Ten years later, as he visits the grave of his parents, the SKGB confront Nikolai. They promise that he will be even greater than his father, and - wishing to make his father proud - he joins their cause. He is taken to a hidden location named "The Wolf's Room", and given his black armour and the stage-name Warsman. Unknown to them, a man - (Barracuda) - appears to be interested in Warsman's abilities and watches them from afar. The training was intense and unethical, but Warsman displayed great physical prowess and combat intellect. One of the Chojin, Kommandas, is impressed with Warsman being able to withstand their hellish training, as at least ten people drop out every day. Warsman says he will never drop out and considers it to be heaven, as they get all the exercise they need, eat all the food they want, and sleep under a warm blanket, and asks Kommandas to stay strong. [8]
After six months of training, Warsman is connected to several cables in a laboratory and asked to use his computer-brain to locate a secret technique from one of the western first-rate Chojin wrestlers, and by doing so he learns Robin Mask's Palo Special. Barracuda watches from the shadows and is impressed with Warsman's talent, deciding that he will be able to defeat Kinnikuman. [8]
At night, Warsman talks to his deceased parents (whose photograph he has saved). He leaves his room to collect water for his flower, and overhears a conversation between Kowalski and his men. The only reason the SKGB is training Chojin is to use them as robotic Chojin soldiers capable of destroying an entire army, the wrestling training being only a ruse, and with the success of the first soldier, Warsman, they plan to mass-produce robo-chojin. Warsman cries in response, before he tears through the thick iron door. He attacks the people inside, until armed soldiers arrive. The injured Kowalski tells them to not fire and leave him to their second robot Chojin soldier. [8]
Warsman tries to escape, by running into the forest (despite it being nighttime). Kommandas, now a cold-hearted robot-Chojin soldier, appears and attacks Warsman. Warsman doesn't want to harm his friend, but Barracuda appears within the trees. He states that he is no longer the Kommandas that was once Warsman's friend, but a killer machine, and that to become a great Chojin, Warsman must be cold-hearted, be precise like an angel, and bold like a devil. Warsman then uses his Bear Claw and the Palo Special to kill Kommandas. Warsman initially turns to attack Barracuda, but Barracuda reveals he is Robin Mask. [8]
Robin Mask then takes Warsman to Japan, so he can become a great Chojin wrestler. [8]
Kinnikuman[]
- Warsman is found in Russia by Robin Mask, who has assumed the identity of Mr Barracuda. Robin Mask acts as his mentor and coach, leading him to participate in the Chojin Olympics, and - due to trauma - Warsman is mute during this time. Warsman abandons his Brutal Chojin ways after losing to Kinnikuman, and regains his speech as a Justice Chojin. He later dies during the Dream Chojin Tag Arc, but is able to escape the Chojin Graveyard during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc. He will join Team Kinnikuman, to help Kinnikuman win the tournament and assume the throne.
21st Chojin Olympics Arc[]
Warsman is seen as a contestant for the USSR in the 21st Chojin Olympics: The Big Fight. [9] The preliminary match takes place on a roller-skating rink with various traps, in which he must complete ten laps, and he manages to come first place. [10] He is assigned his place in the final matches via a giant pachinko machine; his first match, in the first rounds of Block A, is against Teapackman. [11]
The fight against Teapackman is in Kourakuen Stadium, whom he defeats with his Screw Driver technique. [12] He follows his match by slighting Pentagon by ignoring his offer of a handshake, in advance of their upcoming match. [12] The semi-finalists are required to participate in a ceremony, in which they ride horses around a race-track - they all finished at the same time (save for Kinnikuman). [13]
In the next round he went up against Pentagon, and although Pentagon’s aerial techniques worked on Warsman for awhile, Warsman eventually tore of Pentagon’s wings and eviscerated him with his Bear Claws. [14] Warsman is next due to fight the “Most Brutal Chojin” Ramenman in a “Battle of the Beasts”. [14] On the way to the ring, he stops to sign autographs for children, only to be brutally chastised by his trainer/manager Mr Barracuda. [15] The match was a Steel Cage Casket Death Match. The winner was the first to throw his opponent out of the cage and into a coffin. [16]
On entering the ring, Bibimba accidentally runs into him. [16] Warsman stops Mr Barracuda from attacking her, which shows a softer side to his character. It was during this fight that Warsman’s fighting computer was first mentioned. [17] Though he gave it his all, Ramenman just couldn't gain an advantage over Warsman. [17] Warsman threw him out of the cage and through a table. He then got on the top of the cage and jumped towards Ramenman with his trademark Screw Driver technique, but Ramenman blocked it with the ring bell. [18] He thought he had trapped Warsman's Bear Claws, but Warsman burst through the bell and stabbed Ramenman in the temple, turning him into a vegetable. He then threw Ramenman's limp body into a coffin, winning the match. [18]
Warsman trains for his match by blindfolding himself and seeing which inmates (on death row) can run past him, with the intent to kill them on their way past him and to freedom (as they'll be released if they succeed). [19] Warsman kills all 149 prisoners, despite Bibimba's pleas, but allows one elderly man to live, out of mercy so that he may meet his grandson (Bibimba was replaced by Natsuko in the anime). [19] [20] He then is seen at Toshima Pool Park for a press conference. [20]
Kinnikuman angers Warsman by mocking him, as he pulls back his chair and forces him to fall in public. After Kinnikuman strikes Bibimba, Warsman becomes infuriated at his actions and lunges to attack, at which point Kinnikuman uses his Bear Claw Defence to remove his clawed hand. [20] Warsman counters with the Palo Special, before Terryman saves him by kicking him away into the waters. Barracuda declares the next match will be a Mask Removal Death Match. [20]
A guard accidentally walks in on an unmasked Warsman before his match, but Warsman pretends that he is shaving his beard in case he is unmasked in the ring. [21] Bibimba gifts him with a belt before his match. He is revealed to be 5kg overweight at his weigh-in; Barracuda demands he remove the belt, but Bibimba asks him to remove his claws, but - just as he decides to remove his claws - a child trips. [21] Warsman offers to help them, but they attack him, and Warsman instead decides to remove the belt. Warsman loses control, destroying the scales and many people and parts of the room, and Barracuda drags him back to their dressing room to calm him down - it is revealed Barracuda is Robin Mask and only his true face can calm him. [22]
Warsman is chained by Robin Mask, but - in his rage - released to interfere with a show match between Mayumi Kinniku and Harabote Muscle as a "training exercise". [23] He tosses the ring with them away, until Kinnikuman tosses it back. Warsman is stopped from killing a catatonic Ramenman, only for Robin Mask to reveal his true identity to the crowd and that Warsman is his chance for revenge. [23] Kinnikuman initially gains the upper hand, as Warsman essentially copies Robin's techniques, which Kinnikuman knows very well from their previous matches. [24] Warsman reverts back to his own style, then removes Kinnikuman's mask. [25]
Underneath each of Kinnikuman's masks is another mask, so Warsman struggles to unmask him. [25] Warsman starts to remove Kinnikuman's actual mask, revealing black hair, until Kinnikuman performs the Muscle Curtain. [26] Bibimba begs Warsman to stop, after he leaves Kinnikuman a bloody mess, but Robin Mask threatens to return him to the streets. [27] Kinnikuman has the chance to throw Warsman onto his own Bear Claw, but refuses as he doesn't want to become as brutal as Warsman. [28] Warsman thus changes his mind about his evil ways, but is attacked by Robin, who then proceeds to slap Bibimba. [28] Warsman attacks Robin and continues to fight fairly against Kinnikuman.
Warsman is able to overcome Kinnikuman's Fire of Inner Strength with his Palo Special, proving himself stronger and with greater techniques, but Warsman overheats in battle if he fights past 30 minutes and 35 minutes have gone by in the match. [29] Kinnikuman uses the Kinniku Buster and wins the match; he is required to remove Warsman's mask, but Warsman - talking for the first time - reveals his face. [30] He is revealed to have a cybernetic face. Kinnikuman thus returns his mask. [30]
Seven Devil Chojin Arc[]
Warsman takes part in a chojin event for children. [31]
He strives to get the children to safety, when the Devil Chojin attack, but is stopped by Black Hole. Warsman punches, but his hand goes through Black Hole's head, and is flipped over by him, before he is hit by Buffaloman's Hurricane Mixer. He is knocked out and falls through the ring mat. [31] He awakens just long enough to directly challenge them. [32] Stecase King then climbs atop his head, only to blast him with music and break his sensory system. This defeats him. [32]
When Kinnikuman is too weak to continue in his trials against the Seven Devil Chojin, his friends agree to fight on his behalf, which includes a newly recovered Warsman. [33] Warsman decides - as they pick their opponents - that he will fight against Buffaloman. [34] The match takes place in a Denen Colosseum, where Warsman laments that he never expected to use his claws again. [34] Buffaloman attacks with a Hurricane Mixer; Warsman dodges the attack, but attacks again and injures Warsman's hip. [35] After taking out a piece of Warsman's helmet, Warsman uses his inbuilt computer to calculate his next move.
Warsman manages to get in a series of blows, but most are ineffective or easily countered. Buffaloman reveals that this is because is Chojin Power is so much higher than Warsman. [35] Buffaloman manages to destroy Warsman's Bear Claws, followed by piercing his chest with his horns. [36] Warsman uses his Yuujo Power to continue to fight for a while longer. [36] They fight evenly until Warsman is too exhausted to continue and smoke billows from his body. [37] Just before defeat, Warsman is able to break Buffaloman's horn. [37]
A series of Hurricane Blows defeats Warsman, but - with his last ounce of strength - he manages to stand, but he remains unconscious and Buffaloman walks away. [38] At this point, Terryman's shoelace snaps and Kinnikuman cries out Warsman's name, as it is revealed he has died from the attack. [38] After Buffaloman's defeat, he uses the last of his Chojin Kyodo to resurrect the Justice Chojin that were defeated during the competition. [39] This allows Warsman to come back to life, as he breaks out of his coffin in the Chojin Mortuary. [39]
Warsman is thus returned to life. [39]
Golden Mask Arc[]
Warsman first appears at a physical for the chojin. [40]
He - along with the other chojin - have their power drained by some unseen force, and Warsman shows that his power has been halved and this has left him weak. [40] When six masked men attack, Warsman tries to attack them and is knocked down by their sheer power. [41] Warsman is later placed inside a round, bubble-like, life-support device. [42] Later, Kinnikuman fights against Planetman, who uses images of Kinnikuman's friends on his body to transmit damage to the respective chojin. [43]
The image of Warsman is above Planetman's heart, and Warsman begs Kinnikuman to sacrifice his life in order to defeat Planetman and save the others' lives. [43] Kinnikuman punches through Warsman, which defeats Planetman, but leaves Warsman unconscious and prone on the floor of the arena. [44] The leftover of the six evil chojin enter Warsman's body, and Geronimo reveals that Warsman can be woken up should they enter his body and manually restart his heart. A well appears and they all enter his body. [44]
Warsman's mask pops off, while his face shifts to show all those Justice Chojin that entered his body in order to attempt to save his life. [45] Warsman's eyes light up, and they project an image - to those outside - of what is going on inside him body, so that they may watch the fights. [46] He starts to fit, when the matches take a dark turn and Kinnikuman slips down his spine. [47] After they achieve victory, Kinnikuman throws the gold mask at Warsman's heart and restarts it, which saves his life. [48]
Akuma Shogun arrives to prevent the chojin from leaving Warsman, and - as they grow - they will eventually kill him by growing inside him. [49] Geronimo sacrifices himself, so that the others can escape, and this causes Warsman to weep, as his tears help bring the chojin back out into the outside world. [50] Warsman wakes up and sacrifices 100,000 units of power to bring Geronimo back to life. [50] While trying to defeat Akuma Shogun and the last two opponents, Warsman attacks them despite still being weakened, and is tossed aside and knocked unconscious again, even as he seeks to give it his best. [51]
After Kinnikuman defeats Akuma Shogun, Warsman celebrates with him. [52]
Dream Chojin Tag Arc[]
Warsman arrives with the others to Kinnikuman's home. [53]
They go to Kourakuen Hall, and they reveal that they will participate in the Dream Chojin Tag Tournament. Robin Mask announces that he and Warsman have formed a team: Chojin Master/Student Combo. They leave Kinnikuman, along with the other Justice Chojin. [53] It is revealed by Harabote Muscle that they are the favourite tag-team to win. [54] They are seen - in a video - working in perfect unison to defeat the Blood Illusions with a German Suplex, and thus have been formally chosen to enter. [54]
Warsman and Robin Mask later arrive at the tournament. [55]
They navigate through a maze, which matches them against the Hell Missionaries. [56] They enter the third ring, where their opponents wait for them. [57] Like the other Idol Chojins, Warsman has his Friendship Power stolen by Ashuraman and Sunshine. [58][59] Robin and Warsman work together to battle Big the Budo, until Warsman gets knocked into the ropes, and he rips the ropes to free himself and attempt Tag Formation A, which features Robin Mask taking Warsman into a Tower Bridge and spinning him, so that he may use a Rolling Bear Claw. This allows him to slash at Neptuneman's chest. [57]
Warsman watches the match from the side, as Robin Mask takes the lead. [60] After Neptuneman steals Warsman's Bear Claws, he attempts a Palo Special. Neptuneman counters, before impaling Warsman on his spike, and then using a Nose Dive and a Double Leg Suplex. [60] This knocks off Warsman's mask, causing Robin to come to his defence. [61] Neptuneman reveals he intends to steal Warsman's mask for his collection, but Warsman snatches it back and puts it back over his face. [61]
The Hell's Missionaries then use a Cross-Bomber. [61]
This knocks off Warsman's mask, allowing Neptuneman to add it to his collection. Warsman is cradled in Robin Mask's arms, while he asks who is laughing at his face, and - as Robin reassures him that no one is laughing - Warsman dies in his mentor's arms and leaves Robin weeping in grief. [61] Warsman's corpse is then tossed from the mountain by Big the Budo, but caught by Kinnikuman Great. [59] This is the last that Warsman is seen, until the following arc where regains his life and returns to his friends.
Survivor Match Arc[]
Warsman is next seen in the Chojin Graveyard. [62] Kinnikuman dies during his match with Mixer Taitei, and encounters Warsman turning a giant wheel. Warsman reveals that it is possible to escape the Chojin Graveyard, as those that work hard enough can gain a "life ball", and four life balls will enable one to be resurrected. He gives Kinnikuman three of his life-balls, and then proceeds to attack the Hakamori Oni to help Kinnikuman escape (despite not having four balls). He holds open the exit to the graveyard, while Kinnikuman makes his way back to life. [62]
While the semi-finals take place, against Kinnikuman Zebra, Warsman plans an attack to escape the graveyard and never to return. [63] Doctor Bombe appears and takes Warsman into an old cave, where flowers - the only connection to the world of the living - grow. He plans to give Warsman an artificial heart, which will bring him back to life. [63] Warsman is thus resurrected, allowing him to race back to the living world without interference, as the Graveyard Demons cannot harm living people. [64]
Warsman re-emerges in Himeji Castle. [64]
He saves Meat Alexandria from The Manriki, as he enters the ring during their match. He is then announced as a stand-in for Meat in Team Kinnikuman. The Manriki gains an instant advantage, as Warsman is left unable to counter and experiences a series of blows, and Doctor Bombe - from the Graveyard - Warsman has been sent back with no memories of fighting, so he is the equivalent of a novice chojin. [64] After being prompted by his teammates to use his Bear Claw, he instead throws the claws at the Manriki. [65]
Warsman continues to throw his Bear Claw over and over, and - as Team Zebra realise his brain has been partially deleted on revival - he succumbs to a basic Body Slam. The crowd starts to turn on Warsman, which reminds him of the bullying he endured as a child, and he starts to fight in a brutal manner, while putting his Bear Claws on his feet to deliver deadly kicks against The Manriki. [65]
Robin Mask recognises the look in Warsman's eyes as the one of a Brutal Chojin, from when they first met, and so removes his mask and uses a makeshift wig to look like Mr Barracuda. He finds a whip in order to get Warsman's attention, and Warsman starts to obey his commands. [65] This goes well, but Warsman regains his Warsman's Smile and quickly becomes more and more brutal. [66] Warsman gains the upper hand by breaking Manriki's legs and ripping off his vises. When Warsman goes in for the kill, Kinnikuman intervenes. [66]
Warsman cries to see Kinnikuman sacrifice himself for an attack. [67] Robin Mask, Kinnikuman, and Terryman then proceed to teach Warsman about Friendship Power, and this brings back all of his memories and his full personality. Just as the thirty minute mark of the match hits, and Warsman starts to overheat, he wins with a Palo Special. [67] He then watches the Team Soldier match with his peers. [68]
Before the finals, Harabote gives the teams three days to train. [69]
Warsman trains alone in a bamboo forest in Nara. [70] To train against Mammothman, he engineers a training device that will send multiple bamboo spears hurtling towards him at the same time. [70] Just when Warsman seems to have mastered the technique, Neptuneman interrupts his training to remind him that the device is only throwing one spear at once, and Mammothman attacks with two tusks at a time. [71] With a Warsman Smile, Warsman is finally able to learn the counter to Mammothman. [71]
On the way to the finals, Mammothman corners Warsman. [72] Warsman appears to successfully counter every attack, but is still late to the finals. Mammothman arrives and tosses Warsman's battered mask to Team Kinnikuman, and reveals - despite his strong start - Warsman lost to him. [72] Geronimo reveals that he found Warsman and took him to a chojin hospital, and will take his place in the match. [73]
He - along with other Justice Chojin arrives to support Kinnikuman during the final match. [74]
Kinnikuman vs. Terryman[]
In a special edition chapter, Meat tells a story to Terry the Kid and Mantaro Kinniku. In which, Terryman challenges his best friend Kinnikuman to a fight. [75] Warsman arrives at Terryman's ranch in the USA, riding a horse, and he is alongside Buffaloman - they declare they will help him to train. They initially defeat Terryman, proving he has a lot of progress to make to defeat Kinnikuman. Two days later, Terryman is able to defeat them both. [75] They leave together for the match, only to discover Natsuko was in a car accident.
Warsman calms Buffaloman, stating: "His greatest love is fighting for her move; the match is the least of his concerns". They spend the night sleeping at the hospital, as Terryman stays at her bedside. [75] Eventually, they return to the match and Warsman stays as a witness to the match. He applauds alongside his fellow chojin once the match is declared a draw, and Terryman and Kinnikuman embrace. [75]
Farewell, Kinnikuman![]
At Kinnikuman's retirement ceremony, each Justice Chojin takes a turn to ring a bell to commemorate Kinnikuman leaving the wrestling world. [76] Warsman takes his turn after Terryman, where - through laughter - he uses his Bear Claw to partially break the bell. This provokes the others, in particular Brocken Jr. who tries to attack him, but Robin Mask appears to warn him that he must remain calm. When Terryman and Buffaloman later seek to interfere with Robin Mask and Kinnikuman's fight, Warsman proceeds to stop them. He tells them that Robin Mask means no harm, but simply wants a fair rematch and is fighting in good faith. He watches the fight with the other chojin, and is seen applauding when the match reaches its conclusion. [76]
Kinnikuman 2011[]
Perfect Large Numbers Arc[]
Prehistory[]
It is revealed - after accumulating so many injuries over the years - that Warsman has entered suspended animation as a part of his healing process. [77] He is in Russia, where he will remain in stasis until his healing is completed. [77] While he is resting, Turboman waits for him in Red Square. [78] Once fully healed, Warsman appears - alongside his peers - to fight against the second group of Perfect Chojin. [79]
Warsman vs. Polarman[]
On the seventh step, Warsman learns of Robin Mask's death in his match against Nemesis. [80] Polarman takes advantage of his distraction and attacks from behind, but Warsman counters with his Bear Claw attack. They exchange a series of blows, while Warsman incorporates Robin's techniques into his repertoire, and - when Warsman tries to throw him out of the ring - he uses his fur coat to parachute down to safety. Polarman then gets the upper-hand and kicks Warsman's head, causing it to dent and partially damage his brain. [80]
Polarman attempts to use a Polar Nail attack on Warsman, while Warsman is down, but Warsman evades the attack. [81] Warsman slowly works on attacking Polarman's weak-points, where he causes severe damage, but Polarman breaks Warsman's claws in the process. Warsman continues to attack Polarman's weak-points, and follows by biting at his leg, while his smile reveals that he plans to kill Polarman. He is knocked down again by Polarman. [81] Warsman is reinvigorated by Robin's spirit, and gets up a fourth time to attack Polarman. [82]
It is soon after that Polarman gets the upper-hand, but Warsman's friends support him and cheer him, increasing his Friendship Power. [83] Polarman seemingly has Warsman defeated, as he lies atop of him and forces him into the mat, but Warsman rises with a Naked Tower Bridge. [84] Warsman traps him in a Palo Special. [85] Polarman snatches off Warsman's mask, but Warsman is no longer self-conscious, as he knows that he has the full support of his friends. Warsman finally defeats Polarman. [85] Polarman asks for Warsman to kill him, but Warsman refuses. [86]
(More to Come)
Post-Match[]
Just as he enters medical suspension for his match against Nemesis, Kinnikuman receives encouragement from Warsman. Even though Kinnikuman claims his victory over Warsman was a fluke, Warsman says that Kinnikuman gave him a rough fight. As much as he wants to avenge Robin Mask, this match should be between the two Kinniku Clan members since Silverman decreed it. If Kinnikuman's that worried, Warsman will become Kinnikuman's second.
Omega Centaury's Six Spear Arc[]
Warsman was present at the Kinniku Palace, when suddenly a magic barrier trapped him, and the rest of people that were inside the palace.
Unnamed Arc[]
Pre-Match[]
Warsman and Ramenman show up to watch the fight between Caucasusman and Mammothman. Still cheering for Mammothman, Warsman reminds Mammothman of the fight he had with Robin Mask as it was truly one of the most serious fights he had so far. If he's still fighting for leisure, Mammothman will surely let Robin Mask down. Taking Warsman's words to heart and ignoring Caucasusman's harsh words, Mammothman catches Caucasusman's right foot with ease and takes over the fight with a Dragon Leg Screw. Somehow, Mammothman leaps into the air and does an aerial move on Caucasusman.
Warsman vs. Onyxman[]
Kinnikuman, Buffaloman, and Warsman enter a new floor of the Tower of Babel.[87] Warsman uses his Capillaria Piece to enter the ring, where Onyxman awaits in disguise, and Onyxman launches a surprise attack.[87] He announces that he is the God of Reformation, and uses a flying body attack against Warsman.[88] Warsman counters with a Deadly Driver and attempts a Guillotine Drop, only to be tossed against the corner-post. Warsman uses a Screw-Driver, but is stopped by an Onyx Pulveriser (which breaks his claws). Onyxman uses a brain-buster upon Warsman.
Onyxman follows with a German Suplex, which is stopped by Warsman's Bear Claws. This shatters a part of Onyxman's armour, which shows he is a robo-choushin.[88] He proceeds to use a Blackened Overrider.[89] Warsman uses his strength to break free, and tries a power-bomb, but this is stopped by a series of kicks.[90] Onyxman explains that - over time - he replaced the organic parts of his body with mechanical upgrades, at which point Warsman adopts his Warsman Smile.[90]
Warsman uses an Empire Elbow Stamp.[91] The two exchange a series of blows, until Onyxman realises that Warsman's claws are too powerful, and attempts to destroy his claws, which breaks Warsman's right arm. Warsman struggles to continue the fight, but Kinnikuman motivates him to continue.[91] Warsman tries to fight back, but is knocked back by Onyxman.[92] Onyxman is able to seamlessly predict every move by Warsman, and uses his Divine Black Onyx Squeeze, until Warsman damages his own neck to escape.
Warsman turns the match by relying on instinct, so that Onyxman cannot predict his moves, and stabs Onyxman in his stomach.[92] The two trade blows, while Warsman summons his Burning Inner Strength.[93] Warsman uses the Kinniku Buster. Onyxman reacts by digging his blade into the open wound on Warsman's neck, before he uses a Crisis Typhoon. He declares the match over, but Warsman retaliates with a Palo Special.[93] Onyxman is able to break free from the Palo Special.[94]
Onyxman uses a Blackened Overrider; this triggers a countdown, as Warsman is downed. Despite having reached his limit, Warsman perseveres and stands.[94]
(More to Come)
Kinnikuman Nisei[]
- Warsman abandons his Russian citizenship to become a British citizen, while donning the disguise of 'Chloe'. He uses this disguise to work as the second and coach of Kevin Mask, and coaxes him to participate in the Chojin Olympics. The two form a close bond, which culminates in Kevin Mask's victory. Warsman flees after Kevin Mask's victory, but watches over him from a distance. He dons the disguise of a monk to save Kevin Mask's life, after Kevin Mask trains too hard, and later will don the disguise of Belmond, so that he can go back in time to fight for Kevin Mask's life, when Kevin Mask is slowly erased from history.
Chojin Olympics: The Resurrection Arc[]
Prehistory[]
Warsman assumes the identity of Chloe (クロエ ) and serves as Kevin Mask’s trainer and second. He first meets Kevin in "Kevin the Gym", where Kevin is training in London, and offers his services as his trainer, for which he expects no payment except to see Kevin win the championship belt. [95] Kevin agrees, but their initial relationship is difficult, as Kevin disbelieves he can successfully achieve many of the techniques being taught by Chloe. [96] Warsman also renounces his Russian citizenship so that he can be the same nationality as Kevin, thus helping him as his second in the Chojin Olympics. [97]
Preliminaries[]
In the "three-legged race" preliminary event, each competing chojin chooses a partner from the stands. Kevin picks Chloe (who - unbeknownst to him - is Warsman)[98] During the race, Kevin and Chloe faced many obstacles. The first obstacle is to climb a steep hill. [99] The second obstacle is to cross a spinning log. Chloe tells Kevin to spin with the log so they will not fall. [100] Near the end of the race, Chloe and Kevin are attacked by King Castle. [101]
When Chloe is in the air, their ankle strap twists and he kicks at Castle's face. [101] The ankle strap untwists and Kevin comes from behind to kick the back of Castle's head. King Castle's head explodes. [102] Kaiser Moon tries to attack Chloe and Kevin near the final stretch of the race, but they sweep under Kaiser's feet and shoulder drop his head, which causes him to be incapacitated. Kevin and Chloe come in first place. [103]
Kevin Mask vs. Jijimman[]
Chloe grows worried when Kevin is ten minutes late to his match with Jijimman. [104] Chloe eventually finds Kevin fully clothed in a sauna. [105] Kevin is nearly disqualified when he is thirty minutes late for his match, but is half-carried to the ring by Chloe. [106]
Interim[]
Kevin proceeds to his next match with Chloe on a private aeroplane, as they discuss tactics. [107] The two train together inside the airport terminal. [108] A parade is thrown the day before the semi-finals, in Odori Park, where Keven Mask becomes frustrated (as it is time he could spend training for his next match). Kevin thus engages in a fake fight with Chloe, which they use as a distraction to escape the parade. [109] Kevin then proceeds to train with Chloe in Najima Park. [110]
Kevin Mask vs. Ilioukhine[]
Chloe appears again to dress Kevin in his armour before the Kevin Mask vs. Ilioukhine match. [111] He appears restless, as commented on by Meat, and he offers no advice to Kevin. [112] Meat realises this silence is no strategy, when Chloe flinches at the rain of Kevin's blood, and that Chloe is for some reason incapacitated, but Chloe later comes to terms with events and swears that his reservations are gone. [113] After Chloe finally gives a stream of advice, he commands Kevin not just to win the match, but to destroy/kill Ilioukhine. This leads Kevin to use the OLAP technique. [114]
Second Interim[]
Chloe trains Kevin for his upcoming battle with Mantaro Kinniku. They train with a demolition ball, in hopes of learning a counter for Muscle Millennium, and - when Kevin is injured - Chloe tears his shirt to create a tourniquet. [95] A flashback reveals how they met three months ago, as Chloe begged to become Kevin's trainer. [95] During Kevin's warm-ups prior to the match with Mantaro, Chloe forgets his stopwatch; this leads him to retrieve it, during which he crosses paths with Ramenman, who experience great head pain on sight of Chloe and Ramenman's head wound reopens. [115] A second flashback reveals Chloe teaching Kevin to incorporate his father's techniques into his own repertoire. [96]
Kevin Mask vs. Mantaro[]
It is revealed Chloe changed citizenship to be Kevin's second, and that Chloe became Kevin's second to teach the secrets entrusted to him by Robin Mask. [116] Kevin tries to attack Mantaro while he's down, which triggers Chloe to run to the ringside and command him to stop. [117] Ramenman rises out of instinct, where he tells Chloe to back down, and Chloe mutters that he wasn't about to interfere in the match. [117]
In the first of several flashbacks, Chloe reveals he was given the Olap Technique by Robin Mask. [118] He commands Kevin to do the Mach Pulveriser, but Kevin loses control of the attack and accidentally heads towards Ramenman, at which point Chloe jumps between the two of them. [118] In another flashback, Chloe is revealed to have taught Kevin the attack, and in present day, he bleeds profusely from the attack that strikes his mask and causes it to crack (revealing part of his true mask beneath). [119] He claims he was only there to pick up a stray towel, and thus was not illegally interfering in the match, as the match resumes. [119]
Chloe explains he was given two books by Robin Mask, including the Palo Special. [120] He explains that the Olap was too advanced for him to learn, and - as Kevin weeps - Chloe encourages him to continue the match. [120] As Kevin begins to win the match, Chloe cries tears of happiness for Kevin. [121] Kevin wins and Chloe reminds him that the only payment he requested was to see Kevin wear the championship belt, after which he attempts to sneak out unseen. [122]
He leaves one of the two books for Kevin, but takes the other. Kevin collapses, and Chloe races back to the ring and catches Kevin before he can make contact with the ground. Chloe's disguise breaks and reveals him to be Warsman. Warsman explains he came initially to repay a debt to Robin, but promises to see Kevin again and maybe even fight him one day in the blue corner of the ring (due to the fact that he does not age). He runs away in earnest, while Kinnikuman and Robin Mask watch from a distance. [122]
Demon Seed Arc[]
Kevin trains to defeat Voltman in Toyama Power-Plant, and Warsman - watching over Kevin - finds Kevin unconcious in the snow. [123] He gathers his old Chloe mask, which Kevin has kept all this time, and carries Kevin bridal-style through the wilderness. [123] He personally nurses Kevin back to health in an old shrine, where he is in a new disguise: an elderly monk. [124] Kevin shows disappointment that it was not Warsman who rescued him, as he dismisses his memory of being carried as a dream in his weakened state.
Warsman reignites Kevin's spirit with an inspirational speech, before showing him the news (which shows recent events), and reveals that Kevin has slept for four days. Kevin gathers his possessions and runs to his final match against Ashuraman. Warsman finally removes his disguise and watches with an impassive expression as Kevin leaves. [124]
Ultimate Chojin Tag Tournament Arc[]
Battle Royale[]
He first appears in disguise at the opening ceremony. [125]
Warsman takes the guise of Belmond, as part of the Hell's Bears, alongside Michael (Mammothman). [125] A battle royale is announced. [126] He spends a part of the match fighting against the Hell's Carpenters, before turning his attentions against Moaidon. [127] The Jungle Books then attack the Hell's Bears, once the Celebrities are disqualified from the match. [128]
They throw the Hell's Bears at one another, but the Hell's Bears lock arms and counter with kicks to their opponents' faces. Hell's Bear #2 takes Savannah into a Bear Hug, while Hell's Bear #1 clutches Gori Max's and falls upside-down with him. [128] Hell's Bear #2 flips himself and Savannah into a sub-ring, and it is then noticed Gori Max is still descending downward, but now he is directly over Savannah's head. [129]
Their heads collide, which knocks them unconscious, and they are then dragged from the ring. [129] The Hell's Bears then attack Illusions by biting them, but are subjected to a devastating counter. [130] Later, they head into the sub-ring to attack Neptuneman and protect Mantaro Kinniku, but Neptuneman then knocks them both out of the ring. [131]
They win the battle royale is won by default, as all other teams are eliminated, and - in the match-up event - are placed against Team Cosmos in the first round. [132] During the event, the Hell's Bears are attacked by Meteoman, which tears Belmond's costume and rips off his eye in the process. [133]
First Round []
The B-Block first-round match between them takes place at Kanagawa's Kawasaki Stadium. [134] Team Cosmos arrives with capes adorned with the USSR insignia, while the Hell's Bears enter to a fairy-tail parade on a sleigh. [134] The Hell's Bears dance onto the ring in costumes, before coaxing Team Cosmos to dance with them, but this angers Team Cosmos into a Galactica Attack. [135] The bell is then rung, while Team Cosmos lament that the bear costumes feel like a mockery of their homeland's Misha mascot. Team Cosmos then use a Russian Sickle. [135]
Meteoman uses a Meteor Cannon against Belmond. [136] This knocks Belmond back into his corner, while Sputnik uses a No. 1 Cosmos Medallion, and together Team Cosmos launch a rocket into the graveyard orbit above Earth. Belmond then kicks at Meteoman's jaw, while Michael throws Sputnik against the mat. [136] Meteoman attempts an A-Bomb, which Belmond cancels with Head Scissors. [137] While Belmond unleashes a series of attacks on Meteoman, Michael is attacked by Spuntnik, and Sputnik throws him with a double-arm suplex, which causes him to land near to Belmond. [137]
Belmond uses a rolling sobat on Sputnik, as he switches places with Michael, but Meteoman uses another Meteor Cannon into Belmond's legs. Team Cosmos then use a Siberian Storm. This rips open Belmond's back and causes immense bleeding, and - as Sputnik holds him upright - Meteoman kicks continuously at his open wound. Eventually, Belmond uses a Bear Claw as a counter-attack. [137] Belmond then delivers a series of elbow drops to Sputnik's head. [138] Team Cosmos use Sputnik's antenna to pull a rain of space debris down against the Hell's Bears, and the light of which illuminates Belmond's cybernetic body. [138]
Meteoman uses another Meteor Cannon, which is counter by Michael. [139] Belmond breaks off Sputnik's antennas, preventing him from summoning more space debris, and then puts him in a bear-hug, before Michael grabs Meteoman and together they perform a Teddy Crash. This knocks Sputnik and Meteoman down for the count, but Sputnikman stands again and confronts Belmond about his true identity. Belmond proceeds to drill a hole through his body, revealing his identity as Warsman. [139]
This defeats Team Cosmos and kills Sputnikman. [139]
Quarter-Finals[]
The second match of B-Block takes place at Ueno Zoo.[140]
The Hell's Bears take the blue corner, while the Hell's Missionaries take the red corner. Each competitor is locked in an individual cage. [140] A roulette wheel above the cages will determine who will be released and when; five minutes after the first two are released the last two will be released in a staggered manner, one at a time.[141] Once all four have been released, the match will revert to typical tag-team rules.
Michael and Seiuchin are the first to be released.[141] Seiuchin begins by biting Michael on the shoulder, where he continues to drink Michael's blood for two minutes.[142] Michael retaliates with a series of elbow strikes to the legs, followed by a Northern Lights Suplex. After gaining the upper hand, Michael changes his demeanour and acts more brutal and bloody towards his opponent. Just as Michael is about to slam Seiuchin into the iron bars of the cage, Warsman whistles and Michael stops - Neptuneman realises that Seiuchin is controlled by Warsman's whistling sounds. Five minutes pass and the roulette spins again.[142]
Neptuneman is released as the third opponent.[143] Neptuneman and Seiuchin appear to have the upper hand, but Michael uses a Tombstone Bomb Reversal technique to turn the tides.[143] Michael is then targeted by Neptuneman, who suspects Michael's true identity, and purposely aims his strongest techniques at him.[144] He purposely tortures Michael, alongside Seiuchin, so that he will use his full power and this reveal himself.
The Hell's Expansions attempt an Optical Fibre Cross-Bomber, which seemingly decapitates Michael. Warsman is finally allowed into the ring, at which point Michael's headless 'corpse' is reanimated, and Neptuneman rips off the rest of Michael's costume.[144] The identity of Michael is revealed to be Mammothman.[145] Mammothman and Neptuneman fight on an equal basis, while Warsman and Seiuchin fight on the other part of the ring.
Meat reveals that no one recognises Mammothman, due to the timeline currently being 1983, but that Neptuneman - being from the future - still retains memories of events yet to transpire.[145] A flashback reveals Warsman's motivations for recruiting Mammothman; before he was recruited by Super Phoenix, he was an innocent chojin, and thus would be both strong and easily manipulated by Warsman. [146] The Warsman at this tournament is also revealed to be Warsman from the future, who - like Neptuneman - hitchhiked on the time-ship.
Mammothman uses a Nose Chop and Nose Assist on Seiuchin, which is followed by a Nose Fencing. He stops short of defeating Seiuchin, however, due to having Warsman's sense of 'Fair Play'; they realise he has yet to become the Mammothman they know, as such he is not as brutal as he will become.[146] Seiuchin uses his Murder Tooth, which Mammothman counters with Nose Fencing, but Seiuchin evades the counter.[147]
In the audience, Seiuchin's parents come to watch the match. He is thrown until his head is caught between the iron bars of his cage, but Mammothman releases him; Warsman no longer needs to whistle, as he has completely trained Mammothman. Seiuchin attacks with Dublin's Whirlwind. The Hell's Expansions gain the upper hand, leading to Warsman entering the ring with a focus on Seiuchin.[147] Warsman soon appears to be winning, while he appeals to Seiuchin's conscience.[148]
Seiuchin bites down on Warsman's leg, but Warsman rips his leg away (allowing flesh to be ripped off in the process). Once Seiuchin is pinned on the floor, he sees Neptuneman's blanket covered in faces, but - just as he begins to doubt the path of evil - he uses Needle Fur to stop Warsman. He follows with a Polar Bear Catch Drop.[148] Mammothman tries to tag into the match, but the Hell's Expansions use an Expansion Tube on Warsman.[149]
Warsman and Neptuneman exchange blows, until Warsman tags in Mammothman.[149] The Hell Expansions use a Rampage Wheel against Warsman, which Mammothman counters with an Ear Gust.[150] After gaining the upper hand, the Hell's Bears use an Iceberg Avalanche and Glacier Attack, which culminates in a Frigid Back Breaker. Seiuchin tries to tag in Neptuneman, but the audience throw things into the ring, which leads Susie (his mother) to yell in his defence.[150]
Mammothman tries to attack Seiuchin while he is downed, but Warsman stops him.[151] This decision allows the Hell's Expansions to counter with a Hedgehog Ball, which is aimed at Mammothman, and Neptuneman follows with a Quarrel Bomber.[151] The crowd attack Seiuchin's parents, recognising them to be a part of the same clan, and this gains notice by Seiuchin. [152] Seiuchin stops in his attacks, causing Neptuneman to turn against him.
Neptuneman attempts to harm Seiuchin, but the blanket of faces blows into the ring and stops him. The spirits of Seiuchin's friends come out from the blanket, as they offer support to him, and Seiuchin reverts to being a Justice Chojin.[152] Mammothman and Seiuchin exchange blows, but Warsman prevents Mammothman from going too far against Warsman; Warsman and Seiuchin face off as Justice Chojin against Justice Chojin.[153]
Warsman takes Seiuchin in a Palo Special.[154] He immobilises Neptuneman by staking his hands to one of the cages, and - at 28 minutes at 18 seconds - eliminates Seiuchin with a knock-out. The Hell's Bears are prematurely declared victorious.
Despite the end of the match, Neptuneman breaks free and uses a Quarrel Bomber against Warsman. This move would not be enough to defeat Warsman, but Mammothman eats fluorite and uses Optical Fibres with Neptuneman to pin Warsman in place.[154] Warsman tries to stop Mammothman by whistling, but Mammothman has succumbed to his bloodlust. [155] Mammothman and Neptuneman use a Rebellious Optical Fibre Cross Bomber, but Seiuchin swaps places with Warsman to absorb the brunt of the attack.
Seiuchin's face is added to Neptuneman's collection.[155] Warsman reaches his limit, due to his robotic body, and Mammothman turns against him. [156] After switching teams, Mammothman joins Neptuneman as part of the Nova Hell Expansions. Due to not eating as much fluorite as Seiuchin, Mammothman is not able to complete another Cross Bomber against Warsman. Warsman continues to attack back, despite being at his limit, until Mammothman uses his Blind Alley Ears and Big Tusks. The Nova Hell Expansions finish with a Hell Freeze Drop, which defeats Warsman.
Warsman is brought to the verge of death, as he thinks about his father.[157] After 34 minutes and 21 seconds, the Hell's Bears are considered defeated and the Nova Hell Expansions progress to the semi-finals.
After being whisked away for emergency treatment, Warsman is able to leave being a computer chip. The chip has instructions that it should be taken to Alisa.[157]
Aftermath[]
He ultimately loses in the competition to the Hell Expansions, but his sacrifice allows for him to transfer a robotic part of himself to Alisa Mackintosh, which saves her life. The saving of Alisa's life saves Kevin's life in turn.
Warsman is last seen lying prone in the Time Ship. It is unclear whether he is alive or dead, but he was not given any of the Trophy Bulbs. The New Generation take his unconscious/dead body back to the present time.
Techniques[]
Single Techniques[]
Bear Claw (熊の爪 )
- Razor sharp retractable iron claws. He has a pair of four on each hand, though he usually only uses one hand.
Screw Driver (スクリュードライバー )
- With his Bear Claws extended, Warsman does a spinning vertical leap towards his opponent, slashing them as he passes.
Double Claw Screw Driver (二刀流スクリュードライバー, Nitōryū Sukryūdoraibā)

Used unsuccessfully against Buffaloman. Also his level three special on the PS2 game Galactic Wrestling Featuring Ultimate Muscle.
- Warsman’s trademark technique. He jumps on to an opponent’s back, wraps his legs around theirs, grabs their wrists, and pushes both arms forward, attempting to dislocate the opponent's shoulders.
- Pallo Special The End (パロ・スペシャル ジ・エンド)
- A more painful version of the Pallo Special where while performing it, he forces his opponent face down onto the mat.
Fighting Computer (ファイティング・コンピューター )
- Warsman’s inner computer that allows him to pinpoint and exploit any weakness his opponent may have (even if they aren’t aware of the weakness). It also allows him to devise brand new techniques on the spot when needed. The computer can only last for 30 minutes, after which he overheats and white smoke emits from his body.
- In the anime , Warsman don't have this weakness (the fight with Kinnikuman at the final of 21th Chojin olympics, have a duration of more than hour and half, and the inner computer malfunction are induced by the Kinnikuman's Fire of Inner Strength).
Storm Elbow (ストームエルボー )
- From behind, Warsman jumps onto his opponent’s shoulders and begins striking them repeatedly with his elbows.
Wars Leg Breaker (ウォーズ・レッグブリーカー )
- With his opponent face up on the canvas, Warsman holds their legs up, wraps his legs around their shins, and sits on their knees. Empire Elbow Stamp
- An evolved version of the Storm Elbow.
Anime Techniques[]
Siberian Snow Storm
- An anime only attack that was used against Bulldoggy and Big Magnum in the final arc of the anime (before the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne). Warsman was fighting Bulldoggy during the 5-on-3 tag match when he got bitten from behind by one of Bulldoggy's fangs. As Warsman tried to tag in Brocken Jr., Bulldoggy applied a body scissor to decrease his mobility and Big Magnum jumped in to finish Warsman off. Warsman quickly stabbed Big Magnum in the chest with his Bear Claws and picked him up over his head. Warsman then proceeded to Cossack Dance his way to the ropes and jumped out of the ring into the clouds (the ring was on top of a mountain range), sacrificing himself to defeat his two opponents.
