The Island of Eyecons (眼魂の島, Aikon no Shima), also known as Eyecon Island (眼魂島, Aikon-jima), is an island-sized world in the shape of a giant Eyecon which exists in the sky above Earth. It contains the Village of Heroes (英雄の村, Eiyū no Mura), which is home to a gathering of historical figure souls. For promotion of the movie, Toei organized a contest for Japanese residents to design and submit their own Ghost Eyecon designs based on one out of a list of 71 historical figures. The 71 winning designs were presented in a special brochure for the summer movie on August 6, 2016, with the names of these winners being credited in the end credits of the movie.

Actors Tetsutaro Shinzato (新里 哲太郎, Shinzato Tetsutarō), Naoyuki Nakagami (山上 直志, Nakagami Naoyuki), Ayaka Ishikawa (石川 彩夏, Ishikawa Ayaka), and Rena Sato (佐藤 麗奈, Satō Rena) were credited as having portrayed inhabitants of the Village of Heroes. Their exact roles, however, remain unidentified.
