(仮面ライダーシリーズ30周年 いよ いよ戦闘開始! 敵か?味方か?最強の新ライダー登場。, Kamen Raidā Shirīzu Sanjū-Shūnen: Iyo iyo Sentō Kaishi! Teki ka? Mikata ka? Saikyō no Shin-Raidā Tōjō.)
Notes[]
- This movie features the first appearance of new forms Exceed Gills and Agito Shining Form, they would soon after debut in the series in episodes 37 and 39 respectively.
- Having first released in theaters only a day before the airing of episode 34, which debuted Agito Burning Form in the series, it technically featured the first appearance of Burning Form as well.
- Though not stated to be his original role, Takeshi Hongo, Hiroshi Fujioka's appearance as the Superintendent General here was his first in the flesh appearance in a Kamen Rider Series production since the Kamen Rider Stronger TV special All Together! Seven Kamen Riders!! (1976), his appearance here is an homage as 2001 was the 30th anniversary year of the franchise.
- This film opens with a credit stating the movie was made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Toei Company (which was founded in 1950).
- Another credit follows immediately afterward stating the film is also a Kamen Rider 30th Anniversary work.
- The film features a product placement plug for the American fast food restaurant chain Wendy's. A few scenes in the film features the restaurant prominently and has Shoichi, Mana and Sayaka eating there. The camera even starts the scene on a close up shot of a customer eating the food so viewers could see the label.
- When the lifeless corpse of G4 tries to stand up, Hikawa would utter the line, "That's enough... That's enough!" (もういい……もういいだろ!, Mō ī…… mō īdaro!), before gunning down his opponent. The line was an ad-lib by Jun Kaname, who said it without thinking, and his performace was praised by the director.[2]
- More than some scene swapping/removal, the Director's Cut (ディレクターズカット版, Direkutāzu Katto-Ban) of the film adds the following (about 18 minutes long footage) :[3]
- An additional scene of JGSDF soldiers fighting the Ant Lords in the woods.
- Shoichi suddenly taking care of his garden after co-playing piano with Mana.
- The scene where Ozawa, Omuro and Hikawa are eating yakiniku to welcome Fukami (a scene that had been brought up several times by long running fans for several reasons).
- A scene where, in the morning following Fukami's stealing of the G4 System footprints in the G-Trailer, Ozawa is seen asking an overhanging Omuro what happened, proceeding to scold him for being reckless.
- Rei attacking people with his psychic powers to steal their belongings.
- Ozawa and Fukami arguing and fighting each other because of the deployment of the hazardous G4 System.
- A shot of an Ant Lord being violently destroyed by the Machine Tornador after surging from flames.
- Kamen Rider Gills fighting some Lords outside of the JGSDF base (the Theatrical Cut however gets directly to the point with Ryo turning into Exceed Gills within the base).
- Kamen Rider Agito Shining Form using the Shining Caliber to beat an Ant Lord that was attacking Sayaka.
- A entire foreshadowing final scene, consisting of Mana's foresight about Shoichi confronting and getting killed by the Overlord.
Errors[]
- When Ryo transforms into Kamen Rider Gills for the first time in the movie, the image of Gills is lined up differently than usual.
- One of the Ant Lords that Agito Flame Form fights is a damaged costume that has a gash on the seat of the pants section of the suit. This is visible as its back is facing towards the camera.
- Before G4 uses the Gigant, he connects the power cable to his belt to activate the launcher. When the Gigant fires the missiles, G4's power cable is somehow no longer connected to the belt.
