Practice (プラクティス, Purakutisu, "Practice") is the four hundred and ninety-third chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Takumi heads off on another practice run. Matsumoto tells Ryosuke that the Eight-Six is performing much better than it was earlier in the year.

At the finish line, Keisuke takes another practice run. The locals wonder how he had managed to beat so many 4WDs in an FR. Minagawa tells them that it may be skill, though beating Kobayakawa isn't very difficult. He looks forward to racing him, though he has an urge to beat him to a pulp.

At the Daikanzan Observation Tower, Go and Kubo discuss the upcoming races. Go says that he won't be attending the practice runs, as he's sure Kubo will be able to gather all the information they need. Kubo thinks he can get better data in person, so intends to go and watch himself. He wonders if the data is worth collecting, as he doubts Project D will make it past the second or third lines, and if they did they would be best off giving up. Go tells him that Ryosuke isn't a coward, which makes Kubo wonder about his relationship with Ryosuke. Go tells him that they don't know each other very much, but that his brother knew him very well.

The sun begins to rise on Hakone, bringing the night of practice to an end.
