Let's Go To The Beach (海へ行こう, Umi he Ikō, "Let's Go To The Sea") is the four hundred and eighty-sixth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Takumi arrives at the café, and is surprised that Mika waited outside for him. She tells him that she likes seeing his car appear, which pleases him.

In the café, Mika comments that Summer break is almost over, and Takumi tells her that he's jealous, as he doesn't get one now he's graduated. Mika says she wishes she could take a trip somewhere, and Takumi offers to take her for a drive that Sunday. She excitedly suggests they go to the beach, and they agree to go early.

On the drive back, Takumi is surprised by how happy he is.

A few days later, Takumi and Itsuki drive up to Lake Akina. Itsuki is surprised by how slow his Eight-Five feels compared to the Eight-Six. He considers going to get it tested on a dynamometer, and suggests Takumi comes with him. Takumi declines, explaining that he's going to the beach with Mika, causing Itsuki to become jealous. Trying to cheer him up, Takumi offers to ask Mika if she's got a friend he can meet, but he turns down Itsuki's request for a double date.

On Sunday, at the Fujiwara Tofu Store, Bunta realises he's out of cigarettes, and decides to drive to get some. He is surprised to see that Takumi has taken the Impreza without asking, leaving him with the Eight-Six.

Takumi and Mika head to the beach via the Tomei Expressway, and Takumi reveals that he took the Impreza because of it's air conditioner.

At the gas station, Itsuki comments on how warm it is. Iketani wonders why he's there on his day off, and warns him that he'll end up like Kenji.
