Chapter 169

Bunta's Advice (文太のアドバイス, Bunta no Adobaisu, "Bunta's Advice") is the one hundred and sixty-ninth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Kyoichi thinks that Kai should have waited until the last possible opportunity to overtake, as he's given Takumi time to recover.

Takumi struggles to keep up with Kai, as the MR2 is faster in the corners. He thinks Bunta was right, that he will lose the race. He suddenly remembers the rest of what Bunta had said to him, that he will have to use the edge of the road in order to win. Takumi is unsure exactly what he had meant, but realises that Bunta must have know that Kai would jump through the corner. Kai is thrilled that everything is going to plan, and that he was able to pass Takumi, something that even Kyoichi wasn't able to do. As the two pass through a corner, Takumi gets a view of the edge of the road, and finally understands what Bunta had meant.
