Chapter 147

An Intriguing Proposition (ギブ アンド テイク, Gibu Ando Teiku, "Give And Take") is the one hundred and forty-seventh chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

Ryosuke tells Takumi that he wishes to speak with him, and gives him his cell phone to call when he gets off of work. Iketani and Itsuki wonder what he wanted to talk about, and reckon that he must want a rematch.

That evening, at Skylark, the SpeedStars wonder what Ryosuke and Takumi are talking about.

At Lake Akina, Ryosuke tells Takumi that he only has a year left in Gunma before he has to move for a job. He says that he is creating a new racing team, and he wants Takumi to join them, much to his shock. Ryosuke tells him that he would lead the team, and would fully fund his participation, along with personally tutoring his racing. Ryosuke tells him not to give an answer yet, but to think it over first.

At Skylark, Itsuki points out that Takumi has no reason to rematch Ryosuke, as he's beaten him before, but that he'd be more likely to go after Kyoichi Sudo, as he is the only person who he had lost to before. The other SpeedStars are unsure, but Itsuki believes he is correct.

When Takumi arrives home, he calls Ryosuke again, asking how he can get in contact with Kyoichi.
