The Evo III Refuses to Lose (抵抗, Teikō, "Resistance") is the one hundred and fifth chapter of Initial D.

Plot[]

With Kyoichi in front, Takumi goes all out, and raises his pace. Kyoichi is shocked that Takumi is actually able to keep up with him

Ryosuke explains to Keisuke that normally turbocharged cars are better at entering turns on mountain passes, while naturally aspirated cars are faster leaving them. The misfiring system negates this, however, so with his technique Kyoichi is able to maintain his speed throughout a corner. He tells Keisuke that none of it matters, as Takumi lost the second the race began, because he had no experience with the course. He figures that he must be racing for some other reason, possibly out of anger.

Kyoichi realises that Takumi must have been holding back when he was in the lead, as he isn't familiar with the course. He thinks that now that he can follow his lead, Takumi must be taking the corners faster than him. The two cars take a corner at incredible speed, shocking the onlookers, including Tsukamoto. Kyoichi decides to wait until the straightaway to make his move, as pulling away in the corners would wear down his tyres too quickly, which was the mistake that Seiji had made in his race.
