Lightning Bolt in the Steering Column (剛腕清次 電光ステアリング, Gōwan Seiji Denkō Sutearingu, "Strong Arm Seiji - Lightning Steering") is the eighty-ninth chapter of Initial D.
Plot[]
Now that he has passed the Eight-Six, Seiji realises that his opponent is much faster in the corners than him. He also figures out that the straights are shorter than on most courses, which negates his power advantage. Seiji plans to pull away from the Eight-Six on an upcoming straightaway.
Further down the course, Fumihiro, Kenta and Keisuke watch the race. Fumihiro asks if Ryosuke had any prediction about the race, and Keisuke tells him that he had just said to watch from where they are. Kenta doubts that the Eight-Six could win against an Evo IV, but Keisuke reminds him that he had said the same about his S14. Keisuke says Emperor can brag about their skills all they want, but if they pulling ahead of Takumi in the straights is a big mistake.
Seiji tries to pull away from Takumi. Takumi comments that Seiji is faster than all of the other racers on Akina.
