Now that I have been thinking about the Dog Man comic series for a while, I think Li'l Petey has a good chance of being Inconsistently Admirable.
What's the work?[]
Dog Man is a spin-off comic series of Captain Underpants that is about a dog headed cop named Dog Man who saves the world from villains with his friends.
Who is he?[]
Li'l Petey is one of the two deuteragonists in Dog Man. He is an orange kitten who formed a team called the Supa-Buddies to fight evil.

- When Li'l Petey found out Dog Man got distracted by a ball causing another bad guy to escape, Li'l Petey along with 80-HD try to help him.

- He showed to genuinely care for Sarah Hatoff, as he asked if Sarah Hatoff who was A.I Dr. Scum in disguise was okay when Molly, 80-HD, and Dog Man got trapped in a Green Force Field.
Admirable Standards?[]
While he doesn't get as much screen-time as Dog Man, he is still admirable enough to pass the admirable standards due to Li'l Petey not having the ability to control things with his mind like Flippy and Molly or having any robots like Petey and Dr. Scum. He makes up for his lower screen-time by forgiving Petey for abandoning him and proving Flippy was innocent just by using research, making him stack up with Dog Man and 80-HD.
What makes him Inconsistent?[]
- There were some things he didn't feel remorse for. In A Tale of Two Kittens, when Petey told Li'l Petey to eat because he said so, Li'l Petey made the food boomerang back to Petey and the food falls on his head. Li'l Petey then laughed at Petey, and feels no remorse for laughing at Petey. In the same book, he hijacked Chief's car while might be unwittingly, Li'l Petey still felt no remorse for this. In Lord of the Fleas, Li'l Petey he calls Dr. Katz who was Petey in disguise Papa, argues with him over the fact that Dr. Katz who was Petey in disguise wasn't really Dr. Katz, and when Petey takes over the disguise and says Li'l Petey drives him nuts, Li'l Petey says Yay, not feeling any remorse for driving Petey nuts. In Lord of the Fleas, he kept interrupting Petey's story on why he (Petey) wanted Li'l Petey to get out of town, and does not apologize to Petey for interrupting him a lot.
- He is too mischievous and breaks too many rules to be Near Pure Good or Pure Good. All the instances include: Calling Dippy a Poo-Poo head, calling Petey papa several times despite it being obvious Petey doesn't want Li'l Petey to call him that, asking why repeatability despite fully knowing the other characters (Especially Petey) don't like it, using the Fly Swatter as the Tea Stainer, saying Ruff repeatability even after Petey told him to cut it out, saying ruff whenever he hears the doorbell, and repeatability making jokes about poop and diarrhea despite Petey clearly not wanting to hear them and not enjoying the punchline.
- He annoys other characters (Especially Petey) too much to be Near Pure Good or Pure Good. Although you may accuse Li'l Petey isn't aware of it, Petey and the other characters Li'l Petey annoys make it completely obvious they don't want to be annoyed and yet Li'l Petey counties to annoy them, showcasing he is aware that annoying people is wrong and chooses to annoy them anyways. What makes this worse is Li'l Petey takes pleasure in annoying other characters as he smiles whenever they are getting annoyed. The following instances include:
- In A Tale of Two Kittens, he caused Petey to trip on him, making Petey break all of his new test tubes, and repeatability asked Petey why for no reason other then to annoy him (clearly smiling after Petey calls him a pest and very obvious could hear Petey's volume and see him angry, not feeling any remorse for annoying him).
- In the same book, after Li'l Petey told Petey that Dog Man saved him, he mentioned he went GRRR! and then says Ruff! serveal times, and refused to stop saying Ruff when Petey told him to cut it out, even smiling over Petey yelling.
- In Dog Man and Cat Kid, he refuses to have a talk with Petey who was disguised with Nanny, even seeing to enjoy it and he only accepted the talk when Petey disguised as Nanny told he would buy Li'l Petey ice cream.
- In Lord of the Fleas, he called Dr. Katz who was Petey in disguise Papa, argues with Petey who was disguised as Dr. Katz, smiles over it, causing Petey to take off his disguise and when Petey says "It's not even noon, and you're already driving me nuts!" to Li'l Petey, Li'l Petey says Yay!, further proving Li'l Petey takes pleasure in annoying other characters.
- It's not just Petey who Li'l Petey takes pleasure in annoying, it's Piggy to. In Lord of the Fleas, when Piggy asked what Crunky and Bub were doing with Li'l Petey, Li'l Petey keeps on talking to Piggy despite Piggy making it completely obvious he (Piggy) wasn't talking to him (Li'l Petey). Then when Piggy says Let's go, Li'l Petey repeatability asks Piggy why, causing Piggy to get annoyed with him (Li'l Petey), and Li'l Petey was clearly smiling when Piggy yells that Li'l Petey wasn't the boss of him (Piggy) because Li'l Petey was not the boss.
- In The Scarlet Shedder, he along with Molly insult Milly and another cop at Free Insults stand such as telling Milly and the same cop with her to sit in a puddle and calling them one - nosed bubble dumplin's. While the Free Insults stand did allow free insults, Li'l Petey was still smiling over Molly insulting the cops, showing Li'l Petey took pleasure in insulting them. He also didn't apologize to the cops for insulting them.
- He can sometimes be lethal. In Brawl Of The Wild, he chopped off one of Claymation Philly's hands. It was not done as a last resort or self defense as it was never confirmed there were no other non lethal ways to stop Claymation Philly. In The Scarlet Shedder, he blew up Dog Man A.I Robot using his Lighting Gloves, causing it to explode despite A.I Dr. Scum asking for sensible actions. It is possible there were other non lethal ways to stop Dog Man A.I Robot.
- In Mothering Heights, He along with Molly continuously annoy Petey and felt no remorse for doing it. The following things Li'l Petey did that were corrupting in Mothering Heights include: Repeatability asking why to Petey and not listening to his responses, not telling Petey Molly went to his lab, feeling no remorse for making up songs of diarrhea with Molly, peeped when Petey didn't want to hear a peep from him or Molly, making up songs about disgusting stuff with Molly to annoy Petey which delays him (Petey) from telling why he redeemed, and leaving his Sippy cup on the ground despite Petey very clearly not wanting him (Li'l Petey) and Molly to do so.
Final Verdict[]
Strong Yes for saving the world, rejecting his chances of corruption, causing certain villains to redeem, and helping Dog Man, but didn't feel remorse for certain things, was too mischievous/breaks rules too many times, takes pleasure in annoying other characters, being lethal sometimes, and remorselessly annoying Petey in Mothering Heights.
