Expressing your feelings is perfectly natural. You shouldn't feel ashamed at all. So...if you feel like crying while you're talking to Angie, go ahead and cry your eyes out. ...You'll feel better when you do. Well, I mean...laughing makes you feel better too... And venting your anger onto something can really cheer you up! Train your heart by crying, laughing, and venting your anger, Himiko.
~ Tenko's last words to Himiko.

Tenko Chabashira is a major supporting character in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony she's a neo-akidio fighter who trained for many years with her master ultimately so she can use these fighting tactics for not only self-defense but as well as helping others.

She was voiced by Sora Tokui in the Japanese version and by Julie Ann Taylor in the English version.

Her Good Ranking[]

What Makes Her Admirable?[]

  • She and her master would act as vigilantes to do nice things like helping children across the street, catching thieves, punishing cheaters, as well as dealing with sex offenders.
  • Tenko didn't blame Kaede for trying to escape the academy as she genuinely wanted to believe in her.
  • She tries getting close to Himiko and ultimately becomes protective of her, even when Himiko didn't fully appreciate her at those very moments.
  • Joined Kaito in his plan to fight Monokuma when the timer expired instead of killing someone.
  • She makes an attempt to fight the exisals with Kaito and Gonta as they put their lives on the line for Kaede so she could possibly be spared from being executed, until Kaede tells them to stop.
  • She becomes quite close and affable to Shuichi despite him being a man.
  • When a lot of people start suspecting Himiko in the second murder case, she's the first one to defend and believe her no matter what. Similarly to what Kaito does in a lot of the class trials.
  • Offers to take Kirumi's place in her execution after the relevation of Kirumi being prime minister so Kirumi could survive the Killing School Semester to protect the whole country afterwards.
  • Tenko seems to have the ability to empathize with others after having thrown people down onto the mat as she was able to read both Shuichi and Himiko, with her revealing that
    • Shuichi: lacked self-esteem and strength, that he had more self-confidence than ever before but despite this he still questions himself.
    • and Himiko: repressed her emotions most of the time and hardly ever shown them, with Tenko claiming that she had "the richest heart of all".
  • Despite her misandristic views, she doesn't fully hates the men and even had standards towards them, she was horrified with Rantaro and Ryoma's deaths and even wanted to fullfill their wishes, she has some respect towards Gonta and even Pet The Dog moments with Shuuichi, like sympathazing him after Kaede's death and defending his decision to no longer wear his cap, pointing out that he lacks self-steem and even wanting to teach him Aikido.
  • Concerned with how Himiko is being brainwashed by Angie and her god "Atua", she pretends to believe in Atua and joins Angie's Student Council so she could look after Himiko because Tenko didn't trust Angie.
    • She also betrays Angie and tries to get Shuichi and Maki to convince her not to go along with the ritual.
  • Gives Himiko her final words of encouragement telling Himiko to express herself and train her heart by crying, laughing, and venting her anger.
  • Volunteers to be the spirit medium in place of Himiko so she can be the one to say goodbye to Angie at the end of the ritual and with this act she also inadvertently sacrificed herself for Himiko's sake as Kiyo would've killed Himiko if not for Tenko stepping up to volunteer.

What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]

  • She's a misandrist who holds a strong prejudice against men and regularly refers to them as "degenerate males", believing that men are inherently more likely to cause harm onto others than women simply because they're men, however as it was said before despite moments where she was nice and not so rude to them, like being horrified with Ryoma and Rantaro's death and some affabilty towards Shuichi, this is a trait of hers that is too corrupting for PG or NPG.
  • Tenko has a tendency to be very petty, when the first murder case happens she gets annoyed with Shuichi for being "high and mighty" when he suggests to her that they should work together regardless of gender.
  • Gets aggressive and resorts to violence whilst bogusly insisting it is in self-defense.
