Inanimate Insanity & BFDI Meet Up! was an animated short released on May 25th, 2022, to promote the upcoming BFDI x II Meetup.
Plot[]
Lightbulb is running late to a party holding an invite with the words in the front "You're I.I.nvited". While sprinting Lightbulb trips over Rocky's leg. Lightbulb apologizes to Rocky for tripping over him and pulls out the invite under Rocky's leg with the words in the front "A dreamy invitation…" so they decided to do a coin flip to decide where they go.

After the coin landed tails, they headed to Lightbulb's party. Lightbulb referred to the place as "non-canonical," which maked Fan's appearance. Fan informed Lightbulb that he had been fixing the shimmers in his space mobile. Lightbulb was about to introduce Rocky, but II Nickel interjected, mentioning that they had previously competed against each other. Fan countered, asserting that Nickel was merely jesting, as Rocky had never participated in Inanimate Insanity. Nickel clarified that he and Rocky competed in a different realm, prompting Orange Juice to inquire if they engaged in chess tournaments, while Goo speculated about puzzle cube competitions. Nickel explained that their endeavors mirrored those of Inanimate Insanity. Fan realized that this was the same show that piqued his interest, to which Nickel added that there were multiple object shows. He emphasized that his personality remained consistent across all of them and mentioned that Rocky could vouch for him. Lightbulb then showed Rocky the earlier coin, and he approached Nickel. Expressing her zero tolerance for liars, Lightbulb, Fan, Orange Juice, and Goo departed. In a surprising turn of events, Rocky then vomited on Nickel, leading to a scene transition announcing the meetup.

The coin lands on heads, leading them to attend Rocky's party. As they all gather, Lightbulb makes an effort to impress the group. This ongoing exchange of gestures and efforts sparks speculation that Leafy might have entrusted Dream Island to Lightbulb. When Lightbulb becomes aware of the assumptions, she decides to come clean. Following her confession, the others forgive Lightbulb, ushering in the real festivities. Lightbulb, Rocky, and Firey leap with joy into the air, and the scene transitions to the announcement of the meetup.

- This short advertised the second Inanimate Insanity & BFDI Meet Up, occurring July 30th, 2022, and the new plushies, Lightbulb and Rocky.
- Lightbulb, despite not being a contestant in Inanimate Insanity Invitational is the first to appear in the art-style of Season 3.
- This would mark the last time that OJ had a speaking role by Taylor Grodin, as his voice actor, as he got removed from the AnimationEpic crew after the meetup.
