Episodes suggesting a friendship[]
In A Lemony Lesson, Balloon picks OJ as the third to be on his team. Later, Balloon kicks Taco into the tree, Bomb states that this was harsh, but OJ defends the strategy, asking who cares since it worked well.
OJ, Balloon and Bomb decided to form an alliance in One-Shot Wonder, but broke up when Balloon was eliminated. OJ thought their alliance had a small amount of members, this lead to letting Pickle and Taco into their alliance.
In Rain On Your Charade, during Balloon's flashback, it shows that he did want to be friends with OJ again. OJ let Balloon into his hotel and tells him the pressure of the game and to make some new friends this season.
In "Letters", Balloon gives OJ and several other of his former friends letters, formally apologizing for how he acted in the first season. Later, OJ and the other Team Chickenleg members offer to play video games and other various activities. Later, OJ invites Balloon to take a picture with the group.
In "You Can't Do This Forever", OJ votes for Balloon to win the season. The two additionally take a picture together.

In One-Shot Wonder, Balloon tricks OJ and Bomb into an alliance, though the two seem quite confused, while OJ suspects Balloon has a plan. Balloon later tries to get help from his alliance to convince Salt to test the slingshot, but to no avail, as OJ and Bomb simply sit out and order Chinese food.

In Sugar Rush, Balloon's entire team votes him off, including OJ, who comments that Balloon had to see this coming, due to him being so manipulative.
In Journey Through Memory Lane (Part 1), while Balloon does sit on OJ's bleachers, he admits that he doesn't want OJ to win anyway, OJ says "Screw you." to him.
In Journey Through Memory Lane (Part 2), Balloon seems to have an annoyed expression when OJ and Taco were trying to get to the finish line, after OJ wins, Balloon is angry and does not cheer after that.
In Breaking The Ice, Balloon is excluded from the party in Hotel OJ, being locked outside the building. However, he manages to sneak into the hotel, and vandalize the walls with spray paint, OJ opens the door and tells Balloon that he's banned from the hotel, Balloon tells him that he doesn't have any choice but is interrupted due to OJ closing the door.
In Everything's A-OJ, Balloon remarks that he hopes OJ will let him back into his hotel, but OJ declines offscreen. Balloon also displays his anger towards OJ after he eliminated Suitcase by telling MePhone4.
In Rain On Your Charade, after Balloon explains his flashback to Suitcase, he angrliy tells her that OJ "wouldn't let" him talk.
