Tiruchirappalli (bahasa Tamil: திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி) ⓘ juga dieja Tiruchirapalli, umumnya disebut Tiruchi atau Trichy (bahasa Tamil: திருச்சி) sebelumnya juga dilafalkan Trichinopoly (di bawah kekuasaan Britania) adalah kota terbesar ke-4 di negara bagian Tamil Nadu di India (setelah Chennai, Coimbatore dan Madurai). Kota ini terletak di tengah negara bagian di tepi sungai Cauvery.
Sejarah
[sunting | sunting sumber]Tiruchirappalli dipimpin oleh Jenderal Maratha Murari Rao sejak 1741 hingga 1743, ketika diambil alih oleh Nizam dari Hyderabad setelah Pengepungan Trichinopoly (1743).[1][2]
