Kurapika and Pairo read about the character's exploits in Dino Hunter and later even the Kurta Clan Elder reads it and is impressed by the character's endeavors.[1]
It is revealed that Kurapika felt inspired by the D Hunter to want to explore the "Outside World".[2]

- Although D Hunter was never clearly shown, he/she is presumably one of the four characters in a group fighting against some monsters in one of the book's illustrations.[1]
- It is unknown if a Dino Hunter is one of the specializations available to real pro Hunters or if that is merely the character's name; although "dino" may be the shortening of "dinosaur", suggesting a possible Beast Hunter subtype, the hypothetical "Dinosaur Hunter".
