Plot[]
Hunter Exam arc[]
Banner hangs up some white sheet laundry until she sees a Hunter Association airship heading toward her direction and alerts her husband Genner about it. When the 287th Hunter Examinees arrive, they're greeted by Banner and Genner, and Banner introduces herself as the hotel manager converted from a wrecked warship. Hanzo asks them if the place is really a hotel, making Genner speak about its backstory; however, Hanzo cuts him off and demands to know whether they're the fourth phase's proctors. Banner then relays a message from the Hunter Association that the real fourth phase will begin in three days, and until then, they can enjoy themselves.[1]
Some of the examinees were relieved that they could rest and relax at the hotel. However, Banner stops and informs them that the lodging there is ten million . After Leorio's outburst about the lodging price of the hotel. Genner informs the group that they can alternatively pay for their rooms by discovering rare antiques in the shipwrecks scattered around the area. Whatever treasure they find can be put toward their rooms there.[1]
Eventually, the examinees locate treasures to pay toward their rooms, and Pokkle finds eleven of a twelve-plate set, which Banner says earned him a second-rate room. After Pokkle was Gon and Killua who, after having their treasure appraised, earned them a second-rate room too. When Kurapika asks about the history of the Kurta Pendant and the ship where it was located, Genner claims they don't know anything. That's because the ship had been there long before they arrived there. Although discouraged, Kurapika was still given a room at the place.[1]
Afterward, Sommy begs Banner to trade rooms with someone, claiming that his monkey Kamuri will get stomachaches from the room's stress. Tonpa then appears and trades with him, but later trades with Ponzu, who had approached Banner to ask to switch rooms as well.[1]
That night, Genner and Banner relax in their room full of the treasure the examinees found for them, and Banner comments on how good that pendant was. To that point, Genner claims that something of that value deserves to stay where it belongs, and Banner agrees. Later, Banner informs Genner, who was resting on his rocking chair again, that it's time. Understanding his wife's comment, the two get on the airship the examinees rode on and look down at the hotel where their guests stayed.[1]
