Enemies are Non-Playable Characters or Creatures which can be defeated by players in Honkai: Star Rail.

Upon defeating enemies in the overworld, they will be awarded with some credits, experience and Character Ascension Material, the quantity and quality of which is dependent on the player's Equilibrium Level.

Classification[]

Enemies are classified by faction in Honkai: Star Rail:

Tiers[]

Normal[]

Normal Enemies are a type of Enemy encountered in the game.

These foes are generally the least challenging, with relatively low HP, damage, and Toughness, and are found outside of safe zones. Most Normal Enemies respawn on the player's daily reset time. Some Normal Enemies can also make up a Formidable Foe Challenge, and these will not respawn once the challenge is completed.

Elite[]

Elite Enemies are a type of Enemy encountered in the game.

Compared to normal enemies, they have more HP, Damage, Toughness, and are generally able to perform two actions per turn instead of one. Most Elite Enemies are part of a Formidable Foe Challenge. They can also be found in other locations such as Cavern of Corrosions, Stagnant Shadows and the Simulated Universe.

In the Simulated Universe and some events, some Elite Enemies may have the "(Bug)" prefix on them. These enemies generally boast higher stats, enhanced/modified abilities and generally have a different attack pattern compared to the original, making them considerably stronger opponents if not handled properly.

Fewer Elite enemies in the Simulated Universe may have the "(Complete)" prefix instead and are different much like "Bug" enemies. However, these enemies are only part of boss fights.

Boss[]

Bosses are a type of Enemy encountered in the game, usually at specific intervals in Trailblaze Missions, Trailblaze Continuances, the Simulated Universe and Forgotten Hall.

They have even higher stats and Toughness compared to Elite Enemies, and like them, are capable of performing Extra Actions. Most normal bosses are generally fought in two phases. Stronger variants of bosses have the "(Complete)" prefix added to them, who are fought in three phases and have much stronger attacks than the original. These "complete" enemies are only found in the Simulated Universe.

Echo of War[]

Echo of War Enemies are a type of Enemy which players can challenge in Echoes of War.

Accessing these enemies usually requires the player to complete a specific Trailblaze Mission or Trailblaze Continuance. They are similar to Boss Enemies with powerful attacks and multiple phases, either two or three in total. Special variants of Echo of War enemies can be found in usually temporary content such as events, or permanent as Apocalyptic Shadows.

How to Engage[]

A combat encounter with overworld enemies can be started by attacking a targeted enemy with a normal attack or certain Techniques. This will immediately reduce the Toughness of enemies weak to the attack's element upon entering battle. Some enemy encounters occur automatically as part of a mission step. A combat encounter with enemies can also begin when the player is ambushed (the enemy attacks the player first), in which case the action of enemies will be advanced.
