Synopsis[]

D.I. Small is left stressed after receiving new evidence on the day of the reconstruction of Lynsey's murder. Riley receives a visit from Shayne, while Mercedes reconciles with Doctor Browning.

Plot[]

Mercedes feels unsupported by Jacqui and Theresa. Diane's done some job hunting for Jen and Jen's offered a job at Hollyoaks Sixth Form College; she has until the evening to accept it. Myra wants answers from Mitzeee but Mitzeee advises Myra to stay out of her business. D.I. Small prepares for the reconstruction of Lynsey's murder. Tilly tells Neil she's quitting college. Mitzeee tells Shayne she's not letting her have £5000 from Riley, just as Shayne's released from prison.

Neil confronts Jen over Tilly dropping out of college. D.I. Small gets a lead off the reconstruction and arrests Walker on suspicion of murder. Jacqui checks in on Doctor Browning after realising the reconstruction has hit him hard. Tilly tells Jen she empowered her to quit college. D.I. Small questions Walker. Shayne pays Riley a visit at the flat. Jen accepts the job from Mr. Keeler. Riley reluctantly hands Shayne the money but refuses to give her anything more. Doctor Browning finds a drunken Mercedes all alone. Texas tells Dodger she's leaving to go travelling next week and isn't sure when she'll be back.

Doctor Browning tells Mercedes he adores her, and isn't phased when she confesses that she once had an abortion, but she insists he doesn't know who he's dealing with. Doctor Browning reveals a secret of his from when he was 10-years-old to prove to her they're not that different after all. He's adamant there's nothing she can say that will stop him from wanting her. Walker maintains his innocence to D.I. Small - she wants to know who he thinks killed Lynsey. Mercedes admits to Doctor Browning she stabbed herself. He says he wants her more than ever and they kiss passionately.
