Synopsis for "Crisis of Conscience part 2: Soul Gauntlet"

Spider-Man finds himself under attack by Carnage, Green Goblin, Venom, and twisted versions of his family in a warped simulation of Manhattan. In actuality, he is facing off with Archangel, Gamora, Invisible Woman, Moon Knight, Multiple Man, Quicksilver, Sasquatch, Scarlet Witch, and Thor outside the Goddess’s cathedral on Paradise Omega. Moondragon telepathically tells Spider-Man he must fight through his self-doubt to earn enlightenment. Realizing what he sees is an illusion, he defeats Gamora, Archangel, and Sasquatch one by one. At the Parkers’ SoHo loft, Mary Jane exercises with Liz Osborn while Aunt May babysits young Normie. Mary Jane asks May about the return of Peter’s parents, and May assures her they will get through it as a family. At Empire State University, Betty Brant and Robbie sneak past a security guard and break into the office of Jonah’s wife to investigate a secret government experiment. Back on Paradise Omega, Spider-Man’s attackers come at him en masse, but he evades them. Upon defeating Moon Knight and Multiple Man, he realizes he has been fighting the same foes over and over throughout his superhero career and decides to support the Goddess’s ultimate plan. Meanwhile, the Goddess watches the superheroes gathered at Avengers Mansion to oppose her.
