Synopsis for "Blade of the Samurai!"

Aboard an airline flight to Japan, Valaria looks out a window in awe, Jamie covers for Janus ordering a drink, and Kikuyo is uncertain about making the trip. The day before, she revealed she is Japanese nobility, princess of Clan Kofuku, and that her family could help with the team’s financial problems. To learn more and determine what time period Kikuyo is from, Weapon Zero visited the Library of Congress, and Valaria found a text describing Clan Kofuku’s destruction circa 1580. When Kikuyo disappeared en route to her wedding, her fianc’s clan alleged treachery, stormed Kofuku Castle, and tortured and killed her father. After his death, Clan Kofuku was destroyed. Learning this horrified and upset Kikuyo, but after Valaria consoled her, she said she was ready to return to Japan and reveal the secret of her clan’s treasure. Upon landing in Tokyo, Stone teleports the team past passport control and briefs them on local history as they walk through the city. They board a train to Yanogo, Kikuyo’s hometown, and she recalls the day her parents saw her off to her wedding. On the way, assassins ambushed her procession, and she slew one before the T’srri abducted her in a flash of light. When the team arrives in Yanogo, a taxi driver warns visiting Kofuku Castle is forbidden, but they walk there anyway. Inside, two robot samurai attack, but the team swiftly destroys them. A swordsman appears, tells them the castle belongs to the Yakuza, and declares the penalty for trespassing is death.
