Morbius accompanies Amanda Saint to Malevolence, Maine where she would hopefully gain more answers about her family. There they continued to run into the cult of Demon-Fire. Amanda's mother had heard that Morbius was responsible for the collapse of their San Francisco branch and informed their leader Blood-Tide. Blood-Tide sentences both Morbius and Amanda to death. Disguised as Mrs. Agnes the innkeeper Amanda's mom returns to the hotel and sends Oliver her deaf human puppet in to kill the two. Morbius spots Oliver and kills him by throwing him out the window. The hunger infects Morbius and he succumbs to feeding on Oliver in front of Amanda who flees from Morbius into a pack of zombified individuals called the possessed. They chase the two as they pass by Brock Kilbride and Arlene Randolph who are assisting Duke Mannery during his campaign. Their fate is left unknown as the horde of possessed are running toward them.
While escaping Morbius and Amanda run into Amanda's mother still disguised as Mrs. Agnes wielding an axe. Morbius fights her off and kills her before removing her mask. Amanda who has fainted during the attack is carried away by Morbius who pockets the wedding band of Amanda's mother. Synopsis for "The Drifting Snow"
Clodetta and her husband Ernest visit his family at their family home in Wisconsin. There they meet with Ernest's Aunt Mary who warns them not to look out the west window. Soon after Henry, Ernest's cousin arrives and goes against his Aunt's wishes. Upon opening the curtains Henry, Ernest and Clodetta spot a man and a woman outside. Clodetta runs upstairs to Mary and informs her about the two people and that they should let them inside. Mary tells her no and explains that some time ago Ernest's grandfather caught a servant girl and Henry's father outside in the the midst of passion. While it the girl was not at fault Ernest's grandfather threw the scantily clad girl out into the cold snow. After his anger faded and his senses regained Ernest's grandfather sought out the girl but found her dead. A few nights later Ernest's grandfather spotted a girl outside the west window and went out to meet her but he soon ended up dead in the exact same place the girl was found. Now to resist both their calls Mary keeps the curtains closed during the winter.
Upon descending the stairs Clodetta and Mary learn that Henry went out to meet the pair in the snow. Mary tried to alert her servant Sam to go get him but as she was Sam and Henry came stumbling into the doorway. Sam explained that he stopped Henry from running towards the woman by knocking him upside the head. Henry dazed but in a hypnotic trance called out to the woman as she appeared in the doorway and ran out to her. Ernest attempted to go after him but was stopped by Mary who insisted that it was for the best that only Henry die and not both of them. That morning the sought out the spot and as expected there they found Henry dead seemingly of exposure except for the two strange marks on his cheeks that looked like a petite woman's handprints.
