Synopsis for "Reversal of Fortune"

In a Los Angeles motel, 1,500-year-old warrior Lukasz meets with a lawyer.  When they are interrupted by the wife and son of Lukasz’s host body, he coldly dismisses them and finishes his business with the lawyer. Afterward, his leader, Archimage, appears and warns that their enemy Boneyard has made his move.  Lukasz assembles with his fellow warriors outside a magician’s shop while, inside, Boneyard’s henchman Notch interrogates the shop owner, Edgar Strauss.  When his minions find a mask, Boneyard demands Notch bring it to him.  Lukasz and his comrades storm the shop while, on another plane, Archimage confronts Boneyard.  Lukasz frees Strauss, and he flees with the mask.  As the other warriors leave, Notch stabs Lukasz and cuts his heart out, killing his host.  For reinforcements, Notch calls and hires the mercenary Warstrike.  Elsewhere, Carl and Marla Woods arrive to pick up their friend Eden Blake for a double date.  As they enter Eden’s house, Lukasz suddenly possesses Carl’s body and takes off in his car.  He drives downtown to a penthouse where Archimage’s warriors have gathered.  The sorcerer arrives and reveals they have been betrayed. Just then, Boneyard appears and captures Archimage by speaking his true name.  Notch and Boneyard’s henchmen enter and slaughter most of the other warriors. Lukasz fights back only to be impaled by Warstrike.  Lukas transfers to another body, this time Eden Blake’s, and wakes up in bed with her boyfriend.  Shocked, he steals the boyfriend’s clothes and returns to the battle site, bumping into Notch and Warstrike on the way.  From the police, he learns the conflict’s lone survivor was taken to the hospital. Lukasz is then attacked by a mugger, but he spontaneously combusts, and Lukasz runs.  At the hospital, he learns from the survivor, Archimage’s familiar Katinya, that the mage intended for Lukasz to possess Eden’s body in order to learn sorcery.  Before expiring, Katinya gives Lukasz a necklace that transforms his clothes into a caped and hooded costume.  The police enter and he flees, reverting his clothes to normal and taking a taxi to Eden’s house.  After telling Eden’s kids to go to bed, Lukasz answers a knock at the door and finds his visitor is Warstrike.
