Notes
- Although this issue shows Sinestro to have been a member of the Green Lantern Corps, the Guardians of the Universe have to explain his identity to Hal Jordan. After the Crisis on Infinite Earths, this will be retconned. Sinestro is established as Jordan's previous instructor and mentor in Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn (Volume 2) #1.
- In later appearances, "Terga" will be called Tegra. She will also eventually marry Pieface.
- "The Day 100,000 People Vanished!" was reprinted in DC Special #8 and DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #15.
- The whole issue was reprinted in Green Lantern Archives, Volume 2, Green Lantern Chronicles, Volume 2, Showcase Presents: Green Lantern #1 and Green Lantern Omnibus, Volume 1.
Trivia
- Artist Gil Kane based the appearance of Sinestro on British actor David Niven.[1]
- In this issue, Sinestro still does not have his trademark Yellow Power Ring. He will start using it in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #9.
