Notes
- This issue reveals that Flashpoint Beyond takes place exactly two days after the ending of Dark Crisis.[2]
- Many concepts of the DC Universe are explained by Bonnie Baxter in this issue:
- The Divine Continuum is the total representation of existence inside the DC Comics which is composed of the Infinite Frontier/"Omniverse" (Space Aspect) and Hypertime (Time Aspect);
- Zero Hour was the first Crisis to affect both sides of the Divine Continuum;
- The experience of memories from other timelines, which has been a common theme throughout the DC Rebirth and Infinite Frontier eras, is a natural phenomenon, known as Mandela Effect, and a side-effect of the temporal changes due to the Crises involving Time;
- Bonnie Baxter confirms Doctor Manhattan's words[3] about the Multiverse shaping itself around the Metaverse;
- All the Alternate Timelines, Possible Futures and Hypertime worlds keep existing despite the constant cycle of Death and Rebirth of the Multiverse. On the contrary, these changes give birth to new timelines inside Hypertime.
- Flashpoint Martha claims that Jeannie and the Joker's son[4] exist on Earth 0 and suggests that the Joker's real name is Jack Oswald White which has never been confirmed in any other story.
- However, despite Martha's claims, it was later revealed[5] that the events of Batman: Three Jokers (Volume 1) never happened in the reborn continuity of Earth 0 where the Three Jokers are just Joker's alternate personalities.
- Ra's al Ghul is revealed to be alive despite having been killed by Brion Markov in Shadow War: Alpha #1.
Trivia
- Like Bonnie Baxter's words from the previous issue, the TV images of the Justice League's return during the Dark Crisis as well as the Infinite Frontier being altered during the Dark Crisis spoilered the events of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #7.
- Similar to Director Bones during the events of Infinite Frontier #4, Bonnie Baxter mentions the responsible for every Crisis in the DC history, including:
- The Pre-Crisis Anti-Monitor for Crisis on Infinite Earths;
- Earth-Three Alex Luthor and Earth-Prime Superboy-Prime for Infinite Crisis;
- Pre-Flashpoint Darkseid for Final Crisis;
- The Batman Who Laughs for the Metal Wars (Dark Nights: Metal and Dark Nights: Death Metal);
- Pariah and the corrupted Great Darkness for Dark Crisis;
- Pre-Flashpoint Extant for Zero Hour;
- Earth-96 Gog for The Kingdom;
- Pre-Flashpoint Barry Allen for Flashpoint;
- Pre-Flashpoint Deimos for Convergence;
- Watchmen Doctor Manhattan for The New 52, DC Rebirth and Doomsday Clock.
- The new notes on Rip's Chalk Board include:
- "The true Black Adam will show no mercy" which is a reference to the events of Dark Crisis (Volume 1);
- "The rise of the Legacy League" which is a nod to the birth of Jon Kent's Justice League[6] as well as the Titans replacing the disbanded League;[7]
- "The Great Darkness wants nothing" which is a reference to the Darkness being corrupted and forced into the Dark Crisis by Pariah;[8]
- A note about Earth 3 and Earth-247 which is the setting of the Post-Zero Hour Legion of Super-Heroes;
- A note about the "Legion of Four Worlds" that is a nod to the the three Legions from Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds and the Post-Rebirth iteration.
- Michael Holt being referred to as the "third-smartest" person on Earth is a homage to the events of Doomsday Clock #2 where Ozymandias confirmed that Lex Luthor and Bruce Wayne are respectively the smartest and the second-smartest.
- Bonnie Baxter saying that Martin Stein "can't be trusted" is a reference to Stein being responsible for the creation of the American metahumans which eventually led to the birth of the Superman Theory.[3]
- The term "Divine Continuum" is obviously a nod to the DC Comics.
- In the Real World, the Mandela Effect is actually a psychological phenomenon involving false, collective memories.
- A note on the wall of Ra's' residence homages the late DC Comics author, Neal Adams.
