Synopsis for 1st story
This story is a tie-in to the Avengers: Standoff! event.
All of the Avengers and Avengers Unity Division who are trapped within the secret S.H.I.E.L.D. "town" called Pleasant Hill are being mind-controlled to sleep by an ethereal prescence of young girl named Kobik, when Quicksilver then grabs everyone individually and rescues them by racing them out of range of the young girl. The confused Avengers teams communicate as they begin to piece together where they are and what is going on with the reality-bending young girl, and they realize that everyone who has natural powers instead of those imbued by equipment still retain their abilities.
Two identical copies of agent Maria Hill approach some members of the Avengers in a panic, asking for help escaping the young girl and explaining that Pleasant Hill where everyone is currently trapped is a type of prison for supervillains to be sedated via mind-control. At that moment the young girl, Kobik, shows up and warns that the villains of Pleasant Hill are waking up, just in time for the two Avengers teams to be attacked by swaths of villains all at once who have regained conscience from their Kobik's control.
Kobik watches, horrified, as the villains of Pleasant Hill overwhelm the the heroes in brutal warfare, and Deadpool approaches the young reality-bender in an attempt to calm her down and relate to her. Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel cry out in desperation to try and stop Deadpool from comforting Kobik because of Deadpool's own crazed mind, but their worries turn out to be unneeded as Kobik reaches into Deadpool's mind, sees his past hurt, and gains a new sense of resolve to help stop the fighting going on around them.
Kobik warps reality to give all of the heroes their equipment, powers, and costumes back so that they can effectively fight back against the villains, and then the Avengers see that they are receiving a call from the Captain Americas Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers.
