Squidward Tentacles is the deuteragonist of the Spongebob web comic The Bikini Bottom Horror.
He is an anthropomorphic octopus who is first introduced in Chapter 3 A Turning Tide. Where he presents himself in his buff form. After his introduction, Squidward proceeds to become a main part of the cast, helping Sandy ward off the hordes of Patrick clones.
It is in Chapter 5 Desperate Times that with the motivation of Sandy, that he evolves into his titan form, and with it, gains new powers and abilities, with him being able to mow down several Patrick clones before they got the chance to rip Sandy apart.
Appearance[]
In his original form, Squidward's appearance is identical to his original counterpart, with him being an anthropomorphic octopus that wears a brown t-shirt, it is however, it is after his first evolution, that he presents himself as a far more buff octopus that now sports Spongebob's tie as a headband.
After Sandy motivates him with words of encouragement, he becomes titan Squidward, to where he now sports the look of a kraken, with him being large in stature, having multiple tentacles, and a beak on his lower half.
Biography[]
In the very beginning of the Patrick clone rampage, where after rudely slamming the door in Spongebob's face and exclaiming that they "would never be friends" that he runs into one of the Patrick clones, to which he manages to avoid by the skin of his teeth, it is at that point that he runs into the corpse of Spongebob, and after seeing it, he vows himself to avenge his death, and begin his path to redemption by fighting off the Patrick clones.
Squidward makes his first on-screen appearance ins chapter 2, where he uses his clarinet to sing a Patrick clone to sleep, and then proceeds to rip its brain out, rendering the clone as deceased. After dealing with said clone, Squidward and Sandy go to investigate the Krusty Krab and find Mr. Krabs' body laying there, to which point he is killed by a smaller Patrick clone.
It is at this point, that Squidward and Sandy run into what appears to be, the original Patrick, to which Squidward uses his clarinet in hopes to ward him off, but then, Patrick proceeds to tell him that he was nothing more than a boring musician, to which point Squidward ends up losing all of his self esteem, and almost gives up, however, it is thanks to Sandy's motivation that he doesn't, and evolves into Titan Squidward, at which point he proceeds to fight off many Patrick clones until he reaches the original.
It is at this point that Patrick tries to berate Squidward about "knowingly" eating a krabby patty containing his flesh. However, it is revealed that Squidward, nor anybody knew about what Mr. Krabs was doing to them, it is this that leads Patrick, to begin his redemption arc.
It is not to long after that Squidward encounters Larry the Lobster and he tells Squidward about how several Patrick clones that entered the Krusty Krab, to which point Squidward goes in, in hopes to save her from potentially being killed. Soon after, The Tortured One emerges, and the final battle commences. After trying his best to fight off The Tortured One, Plankton eventually intervenes, after his unfortunate demise and Karen's sacrifice to stop The Tortured One from multiplying, that Squidward finds himself impaled in one of his hearts with a sign.
It is then, in a moment of selflessness, that Squidward uses his clarinet to float Sandy to the surface, not wanting to lose another friend to the Patrick clones. It is after this that he becomes enraged, and reveals that he has 3 hearts, and continues to fight off the Tortured One. It is after Patrick reveals himself, now newly reformed, gives Squidward the idea of moving Mount Bikini Bottom and using its lava to destroy the Tortured One, and so, it is with the help of a returning Sandy along with various other ex Bikini Bottom members, as well as a returning Spongebob, that they manage to defeat the Tortured One.
The last time we see Squidward is in the epilogue, where he still has a somewhat buff appearance and has now given himself the goal of protecting Bikini Bottom from future threats.
