The Wuzzy Woozoo is a pink biped and a minor character in Dr. Seuss' 1977 Halloween special Halloween Is Grinch Night.
Biography[]
The Wuzzy Woozoo was chilling by a series of trees as he watched the Grinch approaching during one sour wind night, much to his dismay. The Grinch soon found him, and began sadistically hunting him down. Initially, he was utterly terrified, and he began listlessly running for his life as the Grinch gave chase with homicidal glee. Fortunately, he was able to escape and trick the Grinch into getting knocked over into the Brickle trees. When Euchariah turned up, he held a reassuring finger to his lips.
Personality[]
The Wuzzy Woozoo is a reticent and utterly adorable outdoorsman. He appeared to often be scared at some points, though had good reason for being so. Despite having to deal with the presumed migration of his race, the Woozoo was able to face his fears and fend for himself showing his indomitable spirit. He also warned Euchariah about the Grinch.
Trivia[]
- The Wuzzy Woozoo is reportedly he is the only one left in town, and it is unknown if this indicates that other Woozoos have died out or migrated away. Given the Seussical context of the episode, any kind of mass death is a rather unlikely scenario as it has never hitherto been so much as implied, making migration far more likely.
- While he is often referred to as a "pom-pom" by fans, he is never once cited in the episode as anything of the sort.
