The Mega Minions are supporting characters of Despicable Me 4, the sixth installment to the Despicable Me franchise.
They are a group of Minions that were mechanically modified into superheroes by the retired boss of the Anti-Villain League, Silas Ramsbottom.
They are voiced by Pierre Coffin, who also voiced the rest of the Minions
Appearance[]
Before they were enhanced by a serum, they had the same appearance as their family of other Minions: yellow tic tac-like beings with grey goggles, blue overalls, and black gloves that they wear all of the time. Out of these five, Mel and Jerry are the only ones with only one eye. Gus, Dave, and Tim have two eyes.
However, when they are changed into the Mega Minions, their design changes a lot.
For example, Dave has been shown to have grown taller and his arms a bit more muscular.
Another Minion, Gus, has had his shape changed into something similar to that of a rocket with a cape on.
Jerry is shown to have grown taller and more of a 'cracked' design, as if a mirror had been cracked.
Mel, a Minion that originated from Despicable Me 3, had not changed much. However, his goggles had changed into longer laser goggles with a red background in the glass.
Finally, Tim had been changed into a more elastic and reflexive version of himself, with him not changing besides that.
Personality[]
As of with the other Minions, the Mega Minions are very loyal and dimwitted. However, they have been shown to try to be heroic, despite the fact they fail terribly at their new job.
Biography[]
Silas Ramsbottom created the Mega Minions by testing using a super-serum on 5 Minions - Dave, Mel, Gus, Jerry, & Tim as an initiative against Maxime Le Mal. The experiment was a success, & with that, the Mega Minions were born. Later at night, they are set out to test their powers, but are eventually retired after the chaos they unwittingly cause. However, they are sent back into duty after the Gru family's cover has been blown by Principal Übelschlecht. They manage to arrive once Maxime has already been dealt with, keeping him down further.
