Jefferson Morales, also earlier known as Jefferson Davis is a major character in Sony Pictures Animation's Spider-Verse film trilogy.

As a police officer in New York City, Jefferson disliked Spider-Man due to his vigilante status, but eventually became an ally to his successor, who unbeknownst to him, is his son Miles Morales.

He is voiced by Brian Tyree Henry, who also portrays Alfred "Paper Boi" Miles from Atlanta, Dancarino from Vivo, D-16 from Transformers One, and also played Mike Norris from the 2019 Child's Play remake, Bernie Hayes from Godzilla vs. Kong and its sequel Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Phastos from Eternals, and Lemon from Bullet Train.

Personality[]

Jefferson believes in honesty and dutifulness while committing to a task, such as his police job. This put him in ideological conflict with the original Spider-Man as he never revealed his identity or the reason behind his vigilante acts even though he was beloved by all of New York. That being said, Jeff was horrified when learning of his death.

Jefferson also cared for his family. Despite being estranged from his younger brother, Jefferson cared about him and when Kingpin killed Aaron, he became enemies with Spider-Man due to believing he killed him, while also trying to look after Miles and his homesickness after enrolling him in Brooklyn Visions Academy.

History[]

Jefferson is first seen driving Miles to Brooklyn Visions Academy. Despite Miles's reluctance, Jefferson convinced him to give the school a chance, while warning him to deal with Aaron carefully. Due to looking up to his uncle, Miles ignores Jefferson's warning.

Miles's relation with him slowly deteriorates due to him getting homesick and getting bitten with a radioactive Spider, turning him into Spider-Man. Soon after, Jeff hears the news about Spider-Man's death and sadly mourns for him despite being at odds with him throughout their careers.
