Grimm Grimoire is one of two tetartagonists (alongside Rose) of the 2018 light novel series Combatants Will Be Dispatched! and its manga & anime adaptations of the same name.
Grimoire was the Arch-Priest of Zenarith, the God of Undeath and Disaster. As a result of this, Grimm possessed blessings from her God that allowed her to curse her opponents or resurrect should she be killed. However, as the Arch-Priest of a God that was perceived as evil, Grimm was somewhat shunned by society.
Eventually, she joined the specialist squad of Combat Agent Six, a special agent from another world who had arrived on Grimm's planet with the secret intention of conquering it for his leaders. As part of Six's squad, Grimoire participated in many important battles against the armies of the Demon Lord.
Grimm is voiced by Brittney Karbowski in the English version. Karbowski has also voiced Black☆Star in Soul Eater, Wendy Marvell in Fairy Tail, Migi in Parasyte, Rimuru Tempest in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Mikoto Misaka in A Certain Magical Index, Clair Aoki in Gleipnir, and Apis in One Piece.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Curse Inducement: As an Arch-Priest of Zenarith, the God of Undeath and Disaster, Grimm was able to summon the power of her patron lord to afflict her opponents with a wide variety of curses. The function of the curse and the target or targets afflicted were factors decided by Grimm, although she needed to provide an offering of sorts to conjure Zenarith's power. The offerings in question had to be heartfelt objects, such as rings that had been shared by lovers. Additionally, her curses had a twenty percent chance of affecting Grimm rather than her opponent, making the Arch-Priest hesitant to use curses that she wouldn't want inflicted upon herself. Furthermore, using the same curse multiple times consecutively increased the chance of the curse affecting Grimm. Due to her powers backfiring on her, Grimm was permanently unable to wear shoes or use fire magic.
- Self-Resurrection: Through the Lord of Undeath's blessing, Grimm was capable of surviving her own death. If a person placed Grimm's body in an altar of Zenarith with a number of heartfelt offerings, than Grimoire would be resurrected upon nightfall with none of her previous ailments. However, she would die permenatetly if no one was willing to take her to an altar, and she also found the process of dying an unpleasant ordeal.
