Desumi Magahara (禍原デス美, Magahara Desumi?) is the main protagonist of the 2019 manga series Love After World Domination and its 2022 anime adaptation of the same name. She is a member of the villainous secret society known as Gekko, a secret organisation that seeks to conquer the world, often causing them, including herself, to come in conflict with the heroic organisation known as the Gelato 5.
Outside of conflict, however, Desumi is in love with Fudo Aikawa, the Red Gelato, who later begins a relationship between both her and Fudo, while keeping it a secret to both their respective organisations.
Desumi is voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa in Japanese, who voiced Arcueid Brunestud in Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-. She is voiced by Lindsay Seidel in English, who voiced Ichika Nakano in The Quintessential Quintiplets, Maya Fey in Ace Attorney, Nejire Hado in My Hero Academia, Nagisa Shiota in Assassination Classroom, Ruko Kominato in Selector Spread WIXOSS, Celestia Ludenberg in Danganronpa, Meme Tatane in Soul Eater Not!, and Yayoi Kunizuka in Psycho-Pass.
Appearance[]
She is a beautiful high school girl who is compared to her mother Kirumi. She has blond hair and green eyes. Her Gekko Battle Gear is a sort of exposing, demon-style black attire with bunny-like ears, as well as a skeleton mask and thigh-high boots.
Personality[]
Although she is dreaded by many, she is actually rather good; in fact, she always puts others before herself. Her father was the inspiration behind her alliance with Gekko. Despite appearing to be tough on the surface, her employees frequently make outrageous and disparaging remarks about her. However, deep down, she is just like any other female.
She is prone to jealousy, as was evident when Fudo attracted a lot of female attention on several occasions. She does, however, acknowledge that she knows more than anybody that Fudo wouldn't be unfaithful to her and that her fear is whether someone like her is the right match for him. She was unable to harm him any longer, and it was only when he held her and told her that he loved her alone that he was able to stand firm once again.
She is kind and caring, yet many at Gekko find her frightening due to her irrational power. She is also understanding of Fudo's peculiarities, such as his idea of a first date and his training philosophy. They seem to be in an other dimension whenever they are together. Others could think they are speaking telepathically since they understand each other so well.

Desumi has always had incredible strength, to the point that she once accidentally shut down a dojo after defeating the dojo master. Despite not intending to, she ended up in the same line of work because her parents were former Gekko employees.
When two thugs attacked Haru Arisugawa, she rescued her and advised her to get stronger.
Love After World Domination[]
Desumi was upset with Red Gelato (Fudo) because she thought he was taking advantage of her lack of experience with romantic relationships when he invited her out. She also mentioned the unfavourable stories about her, but Fudo dispelled them because he was a close follower of her social media and was aware of her true self. As soon as she witnessed Fudo's sincere declaration of love, she agreed with him, and they started dating.
Desumi declines Fudo's invitation to hold hands like a typical pair out of embarrassment. However, when Blue Gelato interrupts them, they naturally lock hands and begin to fight. When Fudo recognises it and tells her, the two are pleased with their advancement.
Desumi bemoans the fact that Fudo is becoming more and more well liked by the females and begs him to take her on a date. Instead of going on a date, they head to the gym and start running. Desumi takes a break, uses the toilet, then decides to get some beverages.
Fudo assumed that because she took so long, she left him because he was careless. She assures him, nevertheless, that she didn't mind since she likes being around him. They were ready to kiss when an alert sounded warning them to engage in combat. They both remain still and blissful at the spectacle.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength - With her most powerful attack, she is powerful enough to push Fudo through a concrete wall. She was so freakishly powerful as a youngster that she easily outweighed both Daigo and his karate instructor.
- Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant - Desumi is strong enough to assault certain Gelato 5 members as well as every delinquents she encountered. She is also the first member of Gekko to attack Fudo directly, as well as in some occasions. Despite her early training, it's important to note that this is more a result of her irrationally high degree of strength than of true talent.
- High Stamina - Desumi is capable of repeatedly unleashing strong assaults, but this frequently creates a negative feedback loop that prevents her from using her strongest move without becoming worn out.

- Her date of birth is March 18th
- Desumi could be compared by the villainous Beauty Zonnette from Gekisou Sentai Carranger. Both characters have comparable looks and develop a forbidden but shared passion for the red ranger of the opposite side.
- Her name Desumi is a portmanteau of her father's and mother's name Desuo and Kirumi.
