Carl Chryniszzswics is a local stereotypical Geek Guy who is the neighbor and local friend of the eponymous protagonist and the deuteragonist of the Cartoon Network animated series Johnny Bravo. First debuted in the second season.

Carl is very intelligent but somewhat eccentric and timid. in which who is many of people especially considers him to be extremely annoying.

He was formerly voiced by Dan Castellaneta and currently Tom Kenny. In the Japanese dub from the series, he was voiced by Hideki Ogihara.

Personality[]

Carl is an intelligent, inventive, friendly, innocent and somewhat annoying best friend of Johnny. His annoyance practically comes from his voice. He continues to hang out with Johnny, even after all of the mean things that Johnny does to Carl but Johnny is nicer to him.  Mostly he is usually the voice of reason in the series and the son that Bunny Bravo wanted. 

Appearance[]

Carl wears a light blue shirt, baggy pants, glasses shaped like diamonds and has reddish-brown hair.

History[]

He appeared in almost every episode during seasons two and three, but by season 4, he got a major downgrade, he only appeared in cameos or supporting or minor roles depending on the episode. Carl made a brief cameo appearance in the episode My Funny Looking Friend, when Johnny was opening auditions for funny looking friends. He has been re-drawn to fit in with the animation style used in the first season of the show. He also appeared in the episode, "The Hunk at the End of This Cartoon" where he helped Johnny Bravo try not to get to the end of the episode. However, he did make one major role in season four in the episode, "Run, Johnny, Run!" where he tried to help Johnny get to his date in his car.

• Carl Chryniszzswics is voiced by Tom Kenny, who is known for voicing SpongeBob SquarePants.
• Carl makes a cameo in O.K.! K.O. special Nexus Crossover Nexus as one of the heroes turned into a statue defeated by Strike. He is seen making a cameo next to Jorel's brother.
• Due to Van Partible returning to work on the last season, Carl was given a redesign that made him much more average-looking with rounder features particularly his arms, which also made him lose his geek physique.
• Carl is suddenly introduced in season 2 as a long-time acquaintance of Johnny, despite none of the episodes in the first season featuring him.
• He shares similar traits to Ned Flanders due to both being calm neighbors tolerating on incompetent friends (in Glander’s case: Homer Simpson).
• In the Freudian Dip, It was revealed that Carl was originally Johnny’s high school bully during high school due to being an older kid picking on a young Johnny by giving him a wedge, later at the end of the episode Johnny got him back after remembering the moment.
