Princess Allura is the de facto ruler of Planet Arus and one of the main protagonists of the cartoon series Voltron: Defender of the Universe. She traditionally pilots the Blue Lion. Her Voltron weapon is the bow and arrow or a whip.
She was voiced by B. J. Ward.
Appearance[]
Allura is a young woman with fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a pink royal dress. As Blue Lion's pilot, she wears a pink uniform.
Personality[]
Allura is determined to avenge Arus at all cost. At 16 years of age, she is strong-willed and a bit naïve, resisting attempts by Raible and Nanny to make her behave in a more royal fashion. She is also relatively inexperienced as a pilot, which occasionally puts both herself and the team in danger.
Role[]
Fala was born to King Alfor of Arus. When her family was captured during the Drule invasion, her father told his advisor Coran to take her to safety, before the entire family was executed by Yurak under King Zarkon's orders. Growing up, she befriended the Space Mice and was the only one who could understand their language.
On her 16th birthday, Allura meets the Voltron Force, who have escaped captivity from the Drule Empire. After failing to destroy the Voltron twice, Zarkon sends Haggar to assassinate its pilots. She successfully injure Sven, forcing Allura to replace him as the pilot of the Blue Lion.
From then on, Allura and her teammates fight against the Drule Empire to save the universe from them. The spirit of her father will also sometimes appear and provide guidance. Later on, Allura also meets Prince Lotor, Zarkon's son, who is madly in love with her, and becomes another persistent enemy of hers and the team as a whole as a result.
