Jo Slade is a minor antagonist in the 2006 video game Dead Rising. She is a sadistic corrupt official that wishes to use the outbreak to her advantage to sexually abuse women and kill anyone she likes without repercussions. She was voiced by Carol Bach Y Rita.

What Makes Her Hateable?[]

• Took advantage of the outbreak in order to rape, torture and kill any women that she finds, kidnapping at least 7 of them and tying them up in a clothing store where she then proceeded to sodomize them with a nightstick and torture them over the course of hours, eventually killing them by torturing them to death.
  • She was also misogynistic and verbally abusive towards her hostages too, calling them slurs, giving them death threats and mocking them as she tortured them.
• She is heavily implied to have shot Ross Folk after he protected his girlfriend Tonya Waters from being kidnapped by Jo, with Ross's injuries being bad enough that he will kill himself if Frank gives him a gun.
• Excitedly threatens to molest Kay with a nightstick for denying luring Frank West into the clothing store as this was not the first time either as she tells Jo not to do it again and she visibly takes pleasure in the mental and sexual torture, sadistically smiling she causes during her intro cutscene. Thankfully, Frank stopped her before things could get worse.
• After Frank tries to reason with her, she insults him and threatens to kill and possibly rape him if he tries to stop her from sexually assaulting her hostages.
• Calls Frank a "worthless prick" as she dies, showing zero remorse for her terrible crimes.
• Even her hostages had nothing but contempt for her after her death, calling her a "bitch" and a "perverted freak"
• Unlike the majority of the psychopaths in the game, Jo possesses no tragic or sympathetic qualities to her character and is just in the game to show how low some people will sink when the law collapses.
