Schottler is a neighborhood in Grand Theft Auto IV, Episodes from Liberty City and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars in central Broker, Liberty City. It is bordered to the north by the Algonquin - Dukes Expressway (Cerveza Heights), to the west by Montauk Avenue(Downtown), to the south by Earp Street (South Slopes), and to the east by Wenrohronon Avenue (Beechwood City).

Description[]

Schottler appears to be one of the poorest districts of Broker. Many buildings are in a profound state of disrepair, and vagrants are omnipresent. The neighborhood is mostly made up of small businesses, tenements, and a couple of public housing projects.

Influence[]

Schottler is primarily based on Bedford-Stuyvesant and Bushwick. The neighborhood also pays homage to some landmarks in various areas, including the Schottler arch, inspired by its real life equivalent in Sunnyside, Queens. Furthermore, Schottler contains certain elements of Downtown Brooklyn[1].

Crime[]

Schottler is a Yardies stronghold. They can be seen all around the neighborhood as well as in nearby Beechwood City. Although the Yardies are hostile to Niko Bellic before Shadow, they become friendly afterward due to his friendship with Little Jacob: if Niko is attacked, they will defend him.
