Poncho is a character who was dropped during the development of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Poncho was scheduled to be an ally of Frank Tenpenny who was in trouble with LSPD Officer Carver. Tenpenny sends Carl Johnson to collect his drugs, and to kill Poncho (during the original Doberman mission) to make sure that he won't get into custody.
Poncho's voice lines were reused for the Snitch during the final version of the Doberman mission.
