The Downtown Police Station is a Vice City Police Department station in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Description[]
As the name suggests, it is located in Downtown, Vice City. Both protagonists, Tommy Vercetti and Victor Vance, will respawn here if they're arrested within the north half of the Vice City Mainland island. The Vice City Police Department's SWAT team is based in the Downtown Police Station in 1984.
The station has a white V-corner form and is the largest police station in Vice City. There is a staircase which leads to the helipad on the rooftop. In GTA Vice City, a police car spawns at the side of the building and a Police Maverick spawns on the helipad. In GTA Vice City Stories, the station has a police car at the side of the building, a VCPD WinterGreen at the south-side, a VCPD Enforcer at the back of station, and a VCPD Maverick on the helipad after the completion of From Zero to Hero. The station is inaccessible to the player in both games.
Events in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories[]
In Turn on, Tune in, Bug out, Vic must destroy two DEA antennas on the rooftop of the station to prevent them from collecting evidence against him and Lance. They are protected by SWAT officers.
