Annis (Japanese: アニス, Anisu) is a Japanese vehicle manufacturer in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Description[]
Annis is primarily based on Nissan, with significant influence from Mazda. Vehicles such as the Elegy RH8, Pinnacle, and Hellion are based on Nissan models, with the Annis name being a very close anagram of Nissan. Other vehicles such as the Savestra, RE-7B, and ZR350 are based on Mazda models, in addition to the Annis logo bearing strong resemblance to Mazda's 1992–1997 logo.
Grand Theft Auto IV[]
Annis' first logo, seen in Grand Theft Auto IV on the Pinnacle, was a design showing two connected circles. This logo has a heavy resemblance to Mazda's 1992-1997 logo.
It remains unclear whether the logo has been changed or if it simply was the Annis logo in the mid-2000s, considering its limited usage compared to the other badges. It makes an appearance in the Grand Theft Auto Online personal garage infobox HUD when viewing a vehicle manufactured by Annis.
Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online[]
In Grand Theft Auto V, Annis received a new logo that features a reduced similarity to Mazda's logo. It now features a second connection between the circles with a sharper angle, rather than the former curved junction. This logo appears on numerous vehicles throughout Grand Theft Auto Online.
A blue variant of the Annis logo appears on the Elegy RH8, Elegy Retro Custom, RE-7B, S80RR, and the Euros. This logo also appears in a brighter blue colour on a T-shirt added in the Arena War update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
