I thought it was bullshit that he wasn't brought back.

Fish is listed as bisexual in this wiki, but I can't find any sources that confirm this. Does anyone know if this is actually canon or just a error?

Hey guys, this is my take on the accurate Batman symbol, from the show’s final episode.
Pretty cool, ain't it?
I've just found the Harvey's wrist watch and its called "Citizen WR100" it looks fascinating.

What I would change:
1. Remove Jeremiah entirely, only have Jerome. He was more charismatic and deliciously evil. But I would incorporate some stuff from Jeremiah's story too which I found interesting.
2. Have Jerome's past more mysterious:
- Have Jerome drop comments on how he was abused by his family, but everyone else would claim that Jerome wasn't innocent either: for example he played pranks on other circus kids which nearly resulted in them suffering critical injuries (like pushing them into bear traps)
- Maybe the family tried to give Jerome to foster parents not wanting to do anything with him, however Jerome proved too problematic even for them. This could lead to Jerome being in various schools and somewhat educated, while at the same time Jerome would educate himself as well by often going into libraries and reading.
3. During his first appearance, he tries to frame one of his mother's lovers for the murder which almost succeeds if it weren't for Cicero's change of heart during the last minute. After he gets caught I would keep Jerome off-screen for a while. He would appear for one episode during which Bruce and his class has a trip to Arkham Asylum, each student has to talk with an inmate using fake names. Jerome gets to meet with Bruce for the first time and have a talk about human nature, with Bruce believing that anyone can be good while Jerome believes that everyone is doomed to become vile as he is. The talk ends with Jerome recognizing Bruce from the papers and telling how he had a good chuckle over the deaths of his parents which causes Bruce to nearly lose his cool before he gets taken away. This begins the twisted obsession that Jerome will have with Bruce.
4. He escapes Arkham Asylum on his own by sneaking out. He joins the Galavans and acts as a personal enforcer and hitman for them for a while. However, eventually he feels that the Galavans are too controlling for him so he decides to fuck them over by using some avarage joe to blackmail them. At the same time, Jerome overhears a drunk Theo Galavan trying to make an idea on how to become a mayor. Jerome then begins to manipulate Theo into breaking out some of the most dangerous inmates of Arkham Asylum and create the Maniax. Jerome is completely in charge of the Maniax's actions, like setting the bus full of cheerleaders on fire (in this version they succeed) and the other horrible stuff they do. The Maniax cult begins to emerge, while Theo tries to orchestrate the Gala events, Jerome has other plans: behind-the-scenes he works along with the Maniax cult to betray Galavan and cause more chaos throughout Gotham.
5. During the Gala, almost everything goes on as it does in the show, however Jerome kills Theo and kidnaps Bruce with his followers, intending to kill Bruce because Jerome was annoyed by him and to reunite him with his family in a twisted way. They wreak havoc in the city untill Azrael jumps in and kills Jerome. Jerome dies thinking that it was Galavan, however in reality it was Tabitha in disguise. Jerome's right hand man, Dwight takes over the cult and begins his plan to sabotage Hugo Strange's Indian Hill project and resurrect Jerome.
6. Jerome's resurrection story arc is exactly the same as it was in the actual show.
7. After Jerome gets incarcerated in Arkham, he begins to deeply think about Bruce as he found a new sense of fondness for Bruce's rage in the House of Mirrors and their clashing ideologies. Jerome realizes that they aren't too different as their paths were caused by traumas caused by events connected to their families. Jerome begins to have a new plan to break Bruce and mold him into some sort of brother-like figure he never had.
8. Jerome, Mad Hatter, Penguin and Scarecrow escape Arkham and form the Legion of Horribles. Almost everything goes down the same way as it does, except Jerome recruits Zsasz and Riddler as well. Jerome is aware that Riddler and Penguin are planning to usurp him, however Jerome knowing of their past begins to manipulate both, turning them against each-other. During the concert episode, Jerome tries bring out the hidden insanity withing Bruce on stage giving him the knife to kill Jerome (kind of how he did it with Jeremiah). Bruce refuses to do so, which only ends in Jerome beating him up on stage. Before Gordon could try to kill Jerome, he escapes.
9. Gordon and Bruce begin to have conflict over whether Jerome deserves some form of redemption or not. This results in both of their attempts to stop Jerome to fail.
10. No Man's Land doesn't really happen, but Gotham would become a near-irrepairable shithole thanks to Jerome and the Horribles. Jerome does the "Ace Chemicals" plot with Bruce which lead to them fighting in Ace Chemicals. Then we would get a scene similar to the actual 4x18 with Bruce and Jerome. The former offers to help and rehabilitate Jerome, however the clown refuses and claims that their war against each-other will continue and thus Jerome allows himself to fall into the acid completing his transformation into the Joker. Bruce fearing that Jerome’s words are true, leaves Gotham for 15 years to become the city's true protector against Jerome and the other villains.
11. Fifteen year time jump happens, with Joker being in Arkham secretly plotting a "welcome home party" for Bruce. Bruce returns as Batman, and after revealing that he has been faking amnesia and his catatonic state for 15 years, he enacts revenge on Riddler and Victor Zsasz (because they made fun of him during these years) by putting them through psychologically torture in shock therapy, this later caused both Riddler and Zsasz in becoming much more evil and insane versions of themselves (Zsasz becomes the serial killer from the comics and Riddler becomes similar to his Reeseverse version). He attempts to unleash deadly chemicals upon Gotham to destroy the city further. He attempt to destroy everything connected to the Wayne Family as a "welcome home gift" for Bruce Wayne and attempts to disfigure Jim Gordon's and Lee Thompkins' daughter by dropping her in a pot of boiling chemicals. Batman saves the day and Joker gets back into Arkham.
1 honestly find their backstory fascinating. Jeremiah claims Jerome was pure evil and wanted to kill him.
Jerome claims Jeremiah was the actual evil one and turned everyone against him making up lies. And it's never confirmed who of the two was telling the truth.
We are left to speculate who really created the Joker.
Maybe Jeremiah was telling the truth when he said the gas only had "cosmetic effects" and he was the real evil one all along, shifting all the blame to Jerome as kids and sacrificing his brother's life so that he could get out of the circus and build his career, driving Jerome mad in the process. Or maybe it was indeed Jerome the one that was always insane and he did make his brother snap with the gas to continue his legacy. Or maybe both created each other. Or maybe their actions didn't matter that much and they were both destined to become what they became.
There is just no way to know. Gotham might have given the Joker a name and a past, but it still respected a core element of his character, in the sense that his past is a mystery and it's multiple choice.
This wiki is litterally starting to die
In my case, I have heard positions that he is between 21 in season 4, and 22 in season 5. Others say that he was 25 in season 4, and 26 in season 5. One based on the course of the series (year x year) And the other under the assumption that Jeremiah didn't lie about leaving at 10 years, added with the 15 years that Jerome mentions, 10+15: 25.
However, I personally consider him to be 23 in Season 4, 24 in Season 5, and 34 in the finale.
This is because:
1. I don't believe Jeremiah, and Cicero had told Jerome that nobody loves him at the age of 9, so Jeremiah would have had to leave sooner, for Jerome to take Paul's words as true so quickly .
2. Bruce's age, we know from season 2, that Jerome was 18 at the time, and Bruce was 13, so between the twins and Wayne, there's at least 5 years apart, considering in 4x18, Bruce is turning 18, according to the candles on his cake, doing the math Jeremiah would be 23.
3. The future, as we well know, The Joker is destined to meet Harley Quinn as Ecco's replacement at some point, the thing is that in the comics, he meets her at 35 years old, and at that time the Joker's name was Still on track to expand. And a 36-year-old Jeremiah would break this tradition, just as a 32-year-old Jeremiah would have already made a much worse name for himself in the crime world, and perhaps wouldn't have had a chance to connect with Quinzel properly, after 3 years of fighting Batman.
4. And, another thing, this is a wiki error, considering this, Jeremiah graduated from Ignatius at the age of 13, yet it is stated (on the wiki) that it took him 6 years to build his maze, so which would have finished it at 19, but Ecco's real dialogue is that he finished construction 6 YEARS AGO. So according to me, he finished his maze at 17, and it took him 4 years to do it.
Hello everyone. I love Gotham, so I made a discord server! Feel free to join if you love Gotham as well. We talk about the series in general, ths characters and more. Here's a link:
So i was thinking what if they made a direct sequel to Gotham like how they're doing with pennyworth like it be a cool idea like its with the robins and everything
In the comics and earlier movies not only were the characters older than Batman but they were also closer to him in age...
Throughout this TV series... Batman is a kid... not even the Dark Knight yet.
Why have the villains years older than Bruce is if they're supposed to be his Rogue's Gallery?
This makes me question if there will be a younger generation of heroes and villains... a Young Justice; perhaps... Though that could be "Justice U" with Diggle from the Arrowverse.
Though I feel like Gotham blended many stories from the comics...
Barbara being two-face ... but not...
But it could be in and of itself entirely being it's own show in the DC Universe like Marvel's EMH and Avengers Assemble being it's own thing in that universe.
I wish they picked up Swamp Thing... I honestly didn't think it was that bad.
Netflix has announced that Gotham will be leaving its library. The last day to watch the show will be 9/29/22. I have the entire show on Blu-Ray so I can continue rewatching whenever I want. I just wanted to address the show's viewing future here.
Did anyone here watch the show on Netflix? With the show leaving Netflix, it has been announced the show will begin streaming on HBO Max beginning 9/30/2022.

Who do you guys think will direct the sequel trilogy to the dark Knight trilogy, the Nightwing trilogy?
No offense to Christopher Nolan he did a pretty good job, I only saw the second movie in the trilogy. I originally thought of James Cameron and Denis Villeneuve. But given the fact that James Cameron would be busy with the avatar movie series and Denis Villeneuve would be busy with the dune movie series, I have another one in mind.
Peter Jackson, who directed the Lord of the rings and the hobbit trilogies. Feel free to tell me what you guys think and make suggestions for any other directors.
Some might believe and some might not...
So this was a while ago that the real Joker is somewhere in Gotham watching over the madness being made by the Valeska's and think i might know who this said person is: In season 4 Jonathan Crane was bought out of Arkham later he returned as the Scarecrow and went after Warden Reed... he later sprayed Reed with his fear toxin and his fear was clowns.... the last time we saw him he had clown makeup on laughing like a maniac.... so who argees with me?
