“We all are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. Be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. The ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the Universe.”

“In meditation we discover our inherent restlessness. Sometimes we get up and leave. Sometimes we sit there but our bodies wiggle and squirm and our minds go far away. This can be so uncomfortable that we feel’s it’s impossible to stay. Yet this feeling can teach us not just about ourselves but what it is to be human…we really don’t want to stay with the nakedness of our present experience. It goes against the grain to stay present. These are the times when only gentleness and a sense of humor can give us the strength to settle down…so whenever we wander off, we gently encourage ourselves to “stay” and settle down. Are we experiencing restlessness? Stay! Are fear and loathing out of control? Stay! Aching knees and throbbing back? Stay! What’s for lunch? Stay! I can’t stand this another minute! Stay!”

“There are two types of empathy: the positive empathy and the negative empathy. When we are fully carried away by the unaware activities of the mirror neurons, we are under the trap of negative empathy. The negative empathy generates attachments. Out of these attachments suffering follows. Negative empathy is a kind of reaction to a situation, whereas positive empathy is internal response of peace love and tranquility.... In positive empathy, your deep tranquility, joy and peace activates the mirror neurons of the others, whereas in negative empathy your mirror neurons are activated by the disturbance of others.”

“Generosity is the most natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion and loving-kindness.”

“Let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising loving kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.”

“Monks, even if bandits were to savagely sever you, limb by limb, with a double-handled saw, even then, whoever of you harbors ill will at heart would not be upholding my Teaching. Monks, even in such a situation you should train yourselves thus: 'Neither shall our minds be affected by this, nor for this matter shall we give vent to evil words, but we shall remain full of concern and pity, with a mind of love, and we shall not give in to hatred. On the contrary, we shall live projecting thoughts of universal love to those very persons, making them as well as the whole world the object of our thoughts of universal love — thoughts that have grown great, exalted and measureless. We shall dwell radiating these thoughts which are void of hostility and ill will.' It is in this way, monks, that you should train yourselves.”

“That night ended in a romantic kiss at her door, she asked me in, and we went up to her bedroom. She changed into her nightgown in her bathroom and she left the door open, as she changed, she left her prom gown on the floor, she said-
‘I am not going to wear it anymore or again, the way it looks now, it’s not worth anything.’ Then she asked me- ‘Do you still like what you see when you look at me?’ –Insecurely, as she was pulling her lace-like night top down over her breasts, then to let it slip from her hands, and then fall around her knees. This all happens, as she stands in the doorway of the bathroom. And I said- ‘Yes, you're beautiful, now and always, I love you Nevaeh and the baby!’ She said-
‘Awe, you’re such a sweetie! I love you too!”

“You who thoroughly cultivated loving-kindness are the spiritual guide of all beings. Unshakeable like Mount Meru, you remain utterly unperturbed. —THE KING OF MEDITATION SUTRA, CHAPTER 14
When the Buddha sat beneath the Bodhi Tree and the hordes of demons, known as maras, rose up around him, hurling spears and shooting arrows, his samadhi transformed the weapons into a rain of blossoms. Loving-kindness has the power to turn enemies into teachers and aggressions into adornments. It is the ground from which the other three immeasurables draw their power. When we train in loving-kindness, we expand outward into the experience of those around us. Our tightness loosens, our compassion grows. We feel the joys and sufferings of others more deeply, and we are moved to help them. We take delight in the successes of our friends. Our equanimity becomes rooted in an indestructibly pure intention, in which distance and closeness of relation are no longer relevant. This is why the Buddha said we can become unshakeable like Mount Meru.”

“Meditation not only heals disease but brings great peace to the mind. It is the nature of positive thoughts to make us feel calm and relaxed. The best positive thoughts for healing are loving kindness and compassion. Loving kindness is the wish that others have happiness and the causes of happiness; great loving kindness is taking the responsibility upon ourselves to bring others happiness and its causes. Compassion is the wish that others be free from suffering and the causes of suffering; great compassion is taking the responsibility upon ourselves to free others from suffering and its causes. Generating these positive attitudes can heal disease. Compassion is the best healer. The most powerful healing comes from developing compassion for all other living beings, irrespective of their race, nationality, religious belief, or relationship to us. We need to feel compassion for all living beings, every single one of whom wants happiness and does not want suffering. We need to develop not only compassion, the wish to free everyone from all suffering, but great compassion, which means taking upon ourselves the responsibility for doing this. This brings deep and powerful healing. (p. 7)”

“By healing our mind with great compassion, we will be able to solve all our own problems and those of others. The positive thought of compassion will not only help us to recover from sickness but bring us peace, happiness, and satisfaction. It will enable us to enjoy life. It will also bring peace and happiness to our family and friends and to other people around us. Because we will have no negative thoughts toward them, the people — and even the animals — we deal with will feel happy. If we have loving kindness and compassion, our prime concern will always be not to hurt others, and this itself is healing. A compassionate person is the most powerful healer, not only of their own disease and other problems, but of those of others. A person with loving kindness and compassion heals others simply by existing. (p. 8)”

“The transformation of the mind is the ultimate healing. I may be the one saying all this, but the actual healing has to come from you, from your own mind. The healing comes through your meditation, through your positive thinking, which basically means through your own wisdom and compassion. Meditation on emptiness and on loving kindness and compassion ends the need for healing. Through this ultimate healing, you will never have to experience disease again. (p. 10)”

Kindness is the only love there is.”

“Every heart is a reservoir of emotions, filled with moments of joy, loss, and everything in between. Sometimes, in our attempts to shield ourselves from the world's harshness, we mask our sorrow with a semblance of stoicism. If we can pause to listen to the whispers of our own hearts and those around us, we may unearth the profound connections that bind us in our shared human experience.”
―
―
“Beneath the surface of every calm demeanor lies a universe of unexpressed feelings, often overshadowed by the chaos of life. When we encounter someone who appears cold, we must remember that they may be guarding a fragile heart, weighed down by the sorrow they cannot articulate. In extending compassion and patience, we offer a lifeline that can bridge the chasm of isolation, inviting them to share their story and find solace in our presence.”
―
―
“There are wounds that live in silence, hidden beneath the layers of who we have become. They mark us with an invisible weight, shaping our hearts and weaving themselves into our very breath. Though unseen, they call us to listen, to honor the quiet ache that speaks only in whispers, asking to be met with compassion.”
―
―
“Some wounds linger like shadows that never fully leave, trailing us through life’s unfolding path. They reshape our understanding of tenderness, teaching us that true strength lies not in resistance, but in allowing the fragile places within us to be held gently. To live with such wounds is to carry a quiet testament to the beauty of resilience and the courage to keep reaching for light.”
―
―
“Invisible wounds etch themselves into the soul, speaking in a language only the heart understands. They reside in the unspoken spaces between words, waiting patiently to be touched with kindness. In embracing these hidden places, we come to know a deeper love—one that honors the delicate landscapes within and recognizes that healing is not always about closure but about softening into what is.”
―
―
“In the hidden chambers of our hearts, there live scars unseen, silent witnesses to all we have endured. They do not bleed, but their ache shapes us, urging us to live with greater tenderness for ourselves and others. We become both wounded and healer, learning to cradle our own pain with the reverence it deserves.”
―
―
“The deepest wounds are those we bear quietly, cradling them in the depths of our being where no one else can see. They are the places where our hearts have broken, yet also where our compassion has blossomed. To tend to these wounds is to cultivate a tenderness that understands suffering and transforms it into grace.”
―
―
“Aloneness is not an absence but a deep presence, a communion with the hidden layers of your soul. In these spaces, untouched by the noise of the world, you begin to see yourself with a clarity that can only arise in the gentle light of solitude.”
―
―
“In the grasp of sorrow, it can feel as though we are walking through endless shadows, each step heavier than the last. Yet even in the depths, a whisper of hope lingers, gently stirring beneath the weight. Perhaps healing begins in the smallest of moments, when we allow ourselves to sense the tender kindness of our own heart, willing us forward despite the darkness.”
―
―
“Depression is a veil that dims not only our eyes but our spirit, making it hard to recall the beauty we once knew. Yet there is a grace that abides within us, patiently waiting until we find ourselves ready to breathe it in. When all else feels lost, may we trust in the quiet strength of this presence that neither leaves nor fails us.”
