It's that time of year again! The lazy days of summer are calling and so is the beach! What's on your favourites list to bring along with you?

Definitively suggest What's it Gonna be? A romantic oomedy written by a Mauritian author and set in Mauritius. Funny, light-hearted with great dialogue and wonderful characters.
Not fair! We're in winter down here in the Southern Hemisphere and the beach is still another few months away :-)
The Deep End by Julie Mulhern in the Country Club Mysteries (book 1) and Gretchen Archer's Book Double Whammy in the Davis Way Crime series, are two books that I would recommend to everyone, beach read or otherwise. Both are great stories and I am anxiously awaiting more books in each of these author's series.

I agree! A beach read, IMO, is light, fluffy, and entertaining, not deep, dark, or complex. I guess it all depends what people want when they go the beach!!!!!

I just finished the Louise Penny, Inspector Gamache, Three Pines Mysteries in time for the release of her new one. Every time I think I've figured one of them out she throws another wrench into the story.
A sweet beach read that will bring joy to your day is Frederik Backmans A Man Called Ove.
If you get through, those Barbara Delinsky is always a good author to put in your bag. Don't take anything serious with me because the view at Siesta is sometime too beautiful to do anything but gaze and dream.
