Josie Cirolia was an undercover FBI Agent who briefly who worked as a nanny for Cross De Lena's stepdaughter.

Biography[]

Daughter of an associate of Cross, she came to be interviewed as a nanny for his autistic stepdaughter Bethany, and immediately struck up a bond with the girl. However, she was secretly an FBI Agent working with Mark Hurst to infiltrate the family. She became friendly with Cross, patching up his wound after his aunt tried to stab him in his sleep.

During his sister's wedding, Cross considered firing her for suggesting talking about Bethany's mother to help her cope better, Josie managed to persuade him otherwise by reassuring him that he was a good father, but that he was trying too hard. Following a drive by where Josie saved Cross and Bethany, she began a romantic relationship with him. She also had a brief romantic relationship with Cross.

She had placed a microphone under one of Cross' couches, and he didn't know about this. She was also caught spying on Cross and Giorgio Clericuzio while they were planning the execution of the traitorous Billy De Angelo. A Clericuzio Soldato, Bruno caught her listening to them and he grabbed her before the intervention of Cross. Bruno was later killed for this.

However, Cross eventually learned of Josie's status as an agent after Bethany told him about the microphone. Cross became angry at Joisie for this, and he kicked her out of the household, claiming that she was free to go where she chose. She went inside a car alongside Lia Vazzi, who had a garrote wire in his hand, he then murdered the FBI agent.

An expert at hiding her true self in the line of duty, Josie was willing to go to any lengths to further her mission, even if it meant becoming intimate with Cross De Lena. Unfortunately, this nearly resulted in compromising of her mission, as she began to display genuine affection for him. Ironically, if she had been released from the case then she would have survived. She also displayed some skill in managing to be an effective nanny and a positive presence in the life of Bethany Aquitaine.
